From a family Food truck in the 90s. To the oldest Mexican Restaurant in Rhode Island. The hospitality and authentic flavors of Mexico are behind everything we do at Viva Mexico. Presently, two fully operated family restaurants. The Ruiz family welcomes everyone to there home and family recipes with open arms. Viva Mexico Cantina Grill is Providence, Rhode Island's huge premiere dining destination for quality Poblano mexican cuisine sits 150 guest. The flavors and aromas truly come alive at our restaurants, with only the freshest ingredients selected for our guests.

Chef Ruiz and his family carefully crafted the menu with Poblano recipes both new and old, time tested traditional favorites alongside exciting new selections.     Decided to go to Viva Mexico to celebrate my friend’s birthday and support the Sanchez family— the service was awesome and the staff gave us complimentary fried ice cream that they set on fire! None of us had ever seen it and it was so cool!

    Easy location to walk to from RI Convention Center. Family friendly and food was great. Service did feel rushed and server came over far too many times for our liking. Other than that minor annoyance, I would visit again. Margaritas were yummy!! 👌

    Wonderful dining experience for a friend's birthday. Staff were friendly, helpful and warm. The decor is beautiful. All the food we had was delicious!

    Mixed experience for Saturday brunch. The diners who had the taco salad were pleased with their meal. The diner who had one of the breakfast specials was not--meager portion, scrambled egg special with no tortillas.
