   The food was absolutely amazing. Boyfriend said his steak was the best he’s every had and my spinach and sweet potato curry was delicious!

   Service is very poor. Knowledge of menu is very poor. Never got offered menu for deserts or drinks. Couldnt find anyone to get the bill so had to stand and wait at till. Nothing special, just an average tea.

   There are not enough staff for the pub and grill. The service is extremely slow. We waited 50 minutes on our mains arriving and both were wrong. They took them away to fix and again were wrong. My partner ordered a chicken stacker which said came with 2 chicken breasts however it only came with one. We then waited 10 minutes for this to be fixed. I ordered the village stacker burger, I looked inside the burger thinking it was different to what I had read on the menu. Immediately the waitress came and said they had given me the wrong burger and would bring back the right one. They did bring back another burger however again it was wrong. I was fed up by this point so said nothing and just ate what was there. I ordered dessert as we had a voucher and needed to use up the credit. I ordered cheesecake which was very tasty however I think at £7 for a slice of cheesecake was very expensive for what it was.

   Tasty food, good service, pleasant atmosphere. We have been a couple of times since it’s so handy for friends coming from different directions out with Aberdeen.

   Excellent service and food was of a high quality. Very easy to book online. Thought the tables were very close together and hence not easy to have a quiet conversation.

   I’ve been to The Village for their Sunday carvery in many previous occasions however I will not be back, we had to wait an hour for our food, which arrived cold and the vegetables were what can only be described as hard as rocks! When asked if we had enjoyed our meal our server told us that there had been many complaints that day! Sums it up really!!! The staff seemed completely oblivious to what was going on around them, not their fault but obviously due to a lack of management presence and training! My friends empty soup bowl sat for about half an hour before being cleared away despite two servers having approached our table. I also have a severe nut allergy which I explained to our waiter who to be honest I had no confidence in that he would reiterate to the kitchen!

   We do like it here, but didn’t quite reach standards of previous dining. Staff were a bit muddled at times. Third time lucky with drinks after the first 2 choices were not available. Food was not really hot enough and beef disappointing. Daughter enjoyed her turkey. Will try again sometime but probably not for Sunday lunch.

   I took my mum for her 65th birthday and it was absolutely lovely. There is lots of choice for all inclusive starters and desserts which are just the right size. The food was exceptional and the service was very attentive. I had a buy one get one free voucher but would have been worth the full price and we will definitely be back.

    DisgustEd and utter disappointment in the way my party of four were treated . I had booked a table for 4 people at midday as a treat for my parents before going to Strickly come dancing today. when we arrived there was a board closing of the restaurant and so we went into the bar where we approached and told the restaurant was going to be full with an oil company function and waved away to find ourselves a table in the bar. My parents are elderly and can not manage up to the high tables so we eventually found a round table for the four of us to sit. The table and chairs were dirty and covered with food. I had to go and find someone to come and clean the table and chairs. We chose our food and after a while went to the bar to see if someone was going to serve us to discover we had to order at the bar. The final straw was when we tried to order they didn’t have what we would like for our meal. There was no explanation or apologies for not having a table for us in the restaurant, for the table and chairs being dirty, no service or explanation that we had to order our food at the bar and no apology for not having what we would like to order for our meal. We collected our jackets and left. We had a lovely meal with great service elsewhere. Totally appalled at the lack of customer service and when speaking to others it would appear we are not the only ones.
