   We had the Chinese buffet. Rice was more like stodge and was cold, as were the meat dishes. There wasn't much choice either. I will go again but will order from the menu next time.

   Food was nice but took an eternity to arrive. Booked for 16:30 and arrived on time but didn't leave until nearly 19:00 and we had a 3 week old baby so not ideal.

   When I book a Sunday carvery that it what I expect. No we were put into the bar where live football was being screened at full volume.People were lying down on sofas shouting at the screen.The (carvery) is actually a roast dinner plated up (flung on) in the kitchen!!! False advertising!

   We waited nearly 2 hours for our food and when it did arrive it was awful. Dried out and cold. Won’t ever go back.

   Not at the moment. Wait for the full refurb before going back. The staff didnt know if they were handling the bar menu or the grill menu. Ordering drinks at the bar, same 4 drinks, different prices depending on who served you. On the grill side - 3 course Sunday lunch - Starters was soup served from coffee pots in enamelled cups. Main was server on a wooden board, Desert was cookies or croissant. We had to order separate deserts from the bar menu (at extra cost) for one not to arrive at the table. (cost deducted from the bill) To be fair the food that was server was nice BUT!!!!! If I wanted a cup-a-soup I would have stayed at home. We ask for plates because how do you pour gravy on a wooden board? plus I don't like the taste of wood in my roast beef. Finally, cookies, croissant or a shot glass of cream with a bit of jam doesn't constitute dessert to me. Bring back the carvery! and plates!

   We booked online Sunday to what was advertised as 4 unlimited course carvery £13.95 & kids eat free. On arrival were given a poorly printed piece of paper, the waitress mumbled through explaining like she didnt know what was going on. It was £15 and kids £7.50 from a small menu, not what we booked. The starters were poor - 4 prawns on a spoon calling it a prawn cocktail, a green smoothie as a starter, cheap soup in a mug?! The main was cold and dry, definitely not freshly cooked and what the waitress called dessert was a joke - a table of left over breakfast! I have complained before writing a review but they havent bothered to reply.

   Good choice if starters, roast meats were: bead, turkey and pork with massive yourkshire puds, roast potatoes etc. Super desert selection.
