   We made a reservation for Thanksgiving ... showed up and the restaurant was closed. During a holiday 4th of July, this happened before at a different restaurant. They had the courtesy to call and let us know they would be closed. Never diner here before ... it is a small restaurant. It should have been no problem to call.

   Great authentic Italian food, right on the beach, very good service. Very happy that a nice restaurant opened in this building, we’ll be frequent guests for sure!

   Thursday, October 25, 2018 VERANDINA--REVIEW: Hello. I visited Verandina in late August for a birthday lunch with friends. It was FANTASTIC. The food and service was great, and it was packed and sunny. I would have recommended it to anyone, until…. The second time I visited Verandina was with my aged parents on a Sunday evening. We were the only ones inside, where my dad wanted to sit. There was a couple with a dog and baby on the patio. As we waited, a man in an apron waved his arms and began shouting to a waitress that she should turn clear the tables and chairs and turn the lights off upstairs. There seems to be no insulation inside, so it echoes. Our orders took 40 minutes to arrive. We did get beer. We waited for those, too, and the waitress returned with two Coronas, reporting to Dad that there was no Heinekin. Later, his Corona arrives. Dad ordered the special, which was poached fish on risotto. It looked good, and he said the rice was tasty, but the fish had no flavor. He’s hard to please. Mom & I ordered the salmon burger. The fish was DRY, but the fries were hot. Meanwhile, constant barking and crying from the patio. The man in the apron, whom I assumed to be the manager, walked briskly between bar and patio, talking on his cell. The wait staff began talking loudly to each other when three people came in and sat at the bar. One walked out toward the kitchen, starting a LOUD conversation there. The two men sat at the bar, and the wait staff was visiting LOUDLY with them, like they were long, lost friends. We felt completely forgotten, and my mom was not amused. She kept pointing out misbehavior to me, and I kept saying “I see it, too.” So, dry fish, barking dog, crying baby, loud wait staff and customers. It would have been better if they’d paid more attention to us. I couldn’t wait to leave! I am sorry to give such a miserable report, but someone should know. Liz Ireland (619) 400-7497

   Marco the owner was awesome! Food is authentic, tasty and geverous. Pricey but worth it if you’re looking for a tummy stuffing Italiano meal! 🇮🇹

   The restaurant wasn't even opened when I got there for my 11:45am reservation. I had to find an alternate place to eat. So went to SEA180° Coastal Tavern

   Food was really not good. Should’ve paid attention to the previous reviews. Pasta over cooked, salad over dressed, steak with porcini mushroom sauce was not porcini — they were cremini mushrooms. Very disappointing but we were a party of 11 and tourists, so we were at the mercy for Saturday night reservation. Next time we won’t make the same mistake - And will pay better attention to the reviews

   This is the sister restaurant of sorts to Giardino and IB is lucky to have these folks in town. Just inventive, well prepared, and delish Italian.

   Very good Italian food, large proportions, and priced correctly. The staff was friendly and well versed with the menu. The pesto is fantastic.

    GO UPSTAIRS! Went for diner with another couple, was a little disappointed at first with the view from downstairs but once we found out about the upstairs seating everything was awesome! The food was excellent and the price was super reasonable. We would definitely come back here!
