   Cocktails were good but nothing special, service was ok, our server was very kind. Food was pretty good.

   Venus is a solid hit with a great beachside location - though unfortunately you cannot see over the parking lot to the beach from inside the restaurant. The food was very tasty, well prepared and well presented. The service was friendly, attentive and efficient. They also have terrific craft cocktails. You really can't go wrong here.

   We enjoy eating here and always have a great experience, but tonight our server was great but there was a large group and they didn't have enough servers for the # of people in the restaurant.

   We arrived on time for our reservation and were seated at a table. Because it was loud and we were hoping to have a conversation with friends, we asked to move to a booth, which we did and it was much better. Our waitress breezed by and dropped off the menus and asked what we wanted to drink. We had just been seated so asked if she could come back in a sec. When she returned she wanted our dinner order we told her we weren’t ready and she started to leave so we stopped her with our drink order. Another server came with our drinks about 10 mins. later just as our waitress returned asking for our dinner order. We couldn’t understand what she said about specials as she talked really fast and too quietly but we could tell she was in a hurry so we got our order in. We saw our waitress running to other tables but had a hard time getting her attention, so my husband put his hand out to wave her down. Apparently, that made her mad and she stomped over and gave us all a dirty look and grabbed the ramekin to get our guest more sauce. When we were finished with our meal our table was bussed and the waitress came back, put both hands on our table, leaning in over it and asked if we needed anything else. No thank you, we were done. We had the Clam Chowder! Focaccia, Glazed Salmon, Portobello Burger and Fish and Chips and all entrees were good! The food was good but wait staff needs training. There were no call backs or eye contact to see how we were doing, and dirty looks and bad attitude when a guests asks for something, is not good service. Funny how that can put a damper on a nice evening with friends.

   From the moment we entered the restaurant we received great service. Drinks were delicious, bartenders were courteous and prompt. Food and service were excellent, linguine and clams. One tip is to order focaccia with the clams!

   Great cocktail menu! Excellent food quality, and great lunch menu. Loved the indoor ambiance and big windows despite no ocean view. Highly recommend!

    I wanted to really love this restaurant, especially based on other reviews. I am a big fan of Venus gin, but of all things I was disappointed with their cocktails! Ambience B It is nice, clean and modern. Service. B We were quickly seated and were paid attention to most of the time Cocktail. D I asked for a classic gin and tonic and had a choice of three different gins that day. Cocktail came in pretty quickly and looked great with the right amount of ice and accoutrements. However, although I could taste the Venus Gin (it was on the light side though- maybe because of happy hour?) , the tonic used was 100% totally flat. I told the waitress who immediately apologize and came back with what I thought was a new drink, but she explained that the bartender was still checking to see if the tonic canister was flat, but in the meantime, she added soda water to make it more bubbly.(????!!!!!!!). No, that is certainly not what i wanted. What made things worse is that the ice used seemed made with unfiltered water. Ice had a very pronounced tap water taste which ruined the “cocktail”. Eventually, they credited my drink, but not because it was not properly made. It was because they somehow “lost” my fish and chips order in the kitchen. ( more on that below). Food:B We started with the roasted Brussels sprout appetizer which our server recommended. It came in very quickly and was good. My only gripe was that the brussels sprouts were much larger than you would see other restaurants which meant that some of them were not really cooked properly After 30 minutes (!) next came to fish and chips which my wife thought was one of the best ones she’s ever had. The portions were big and a batter was very well done. They use halibut which is a premium fish.  French fries were hot and crispy. The issue was that our order was initially lost in kitchen, and after 20 minutes, she came back to apologize and had to resubmit the order. Hence credit on cocktail
