Established in 2012, I started Urban Grill and Wine Bar to add a quality restaurant with a full bar and boutique wine list to an area that is in desperate need of something unique and family operated. Having spent most of our adult lives in the restaurant business, my wife Jaylene and I understand the importance that our food be of the highest quality and our service be very friendly and professional. Our menu offers a variety of dishes from simple but delicious sandwiches to the best steaks and seafood around.

Family went for Brunch on Easter Sunday. Full menu, plus brunch options. Best cooked filet I've had out in a long time.

The food, service and ambience was outstanding. It was the most pleasant dining out experience I’ve had in years. Steve, our server, did a beautiful job of explaining our options on the menu! We will definitely be returning to Urban Grill!

This was my third visit to Urban Grill. I recommended it to my husband for our anniversary dinner. I was excited to go again and for the dining experience. This time I was deeply disappointed. We were seated right away. Our waitress came to the table. I don’t remember her name (she was forgettable) but on the receipt it shows her name is Alyssa. She was dry and short with us. She seemed very disengaged and wanted to be anywhere else but at work. She did the bare minimum and that was reflected in her tip. My husband and I wondered if it was because we’re are Black but he intently listened to her conversation with the table next to us but it was the same dry and disengaged conversation we experienced. (They were white.) Debra appeared as a ray of sunshine! Bubbly and all smiles. She refilled my husband’s water glass that sat empty in our table for SEVERAL minutes, even though Alyssa stopped to “check on us”. We shared with Debra that I was our anniversary and she smiled and congratulated us. She complimented my footwear and it was to genuine. I told her wished SHE was waiting on us . If there is a next visit I will absolutely ask to sit in Debra’s section. The other wait staff that stopped by cleared our plates and asked - with smiles - if we needed anything. The food was excellent as I experienced on the past. Alyssa may want to reconsider her career choice.

The food and ambiance was great and the server made it even better. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for good food, drinks, and service in Downtown McKinney
