Horrible experience, despicable treatment. They refused to honor a reservation made upon arrival, making an excuse that they use multiple reservation systems (blames the customer for their mismanagement of reservations). They made us wait 45+ min. and never called when seats became available (poor customer service). Instead of apologizing for their misunderstanding, they made an excuse and blamed the customer saying they thought we were only interested in happy hour (doesn’t take accountability). They claimed an open table was reserved/arriving, yet it was still open when we returned 45 min. later (dishonest/lacks integrity). They made no apology nor offer to make amends (no comprehension of customer service). When we tried to give them an opportunity to make things right (honoring happy hour, taking hostess up on her offer for round of drinks instead), the manager loses his temper, face red, pounds table, and yells “you’re not getting a free round!” (extremely unprofessional).
My friend graciously goes to back to let the manager know no favors necessary…instead of making peace, he makes unfounded accusations “are you going to dine and dash?!” (completely unhinged; should not be in service industry, definitely not front-of-house). We get up to leave and actually give them the courtesy of cancelling order before kitchen fires it up as we depart, even though they deserved none…manager sarcastically replies “gladly” (vile attitude and behavior).
The manager could easily have apologized from the get-go in a sincere and polite manner and made things right, like any upstanding seasoned professional would do. Instead, he took no accountability, demonstrated complete lack of integrity, zero comprehension of customer service, and behavior that’s not only unprofessional but just disgusting. Would never return. Will share this appalling experience.
