   Up North Ale house is pub friendly atmosphere with casual dining. The menu always surprises me with variety of choices from burgers to salmon and steaks. The food is nicely presented and tastes good. I like that we can go there and eat quality food and listen to live music! There are tvs if you want to watch sports. I also noticed a lot of young families at our earlier dinner time. We have also gone with other couples to enjoy music, dinner along with the great selection of Kraft beer, cocktails and several other options. It’s nice to have a neighborhood type restaurant and bar in the West Suburbs.

   The service was quick considering it was Valentines Day I had the slider burgers and cheese sticks which was fine but my wife had the New York strip steak and it had to be sent back twice. The server was friendly.

   The ambience and the food was great. Our server was awesome. However, I believe the kitchen was just a little slow that night mostly because it was very full on a Saturday night.

    First visit. Food and service (Jess) excellent. Requests for swaps were made without a problem (keto). Extensive beer list including gluten free and alcohol free. Could use a cozy fireplace to add to overall “Up North” ski lodge ambience and warmth but a very neighborhood feel/no frills kind of place. No live music on this night but read that they do have live bands. Juke box was a fun throwback and mellow country music played throughout dinner. We will definitely return. Thanks.
