    Went for my husband's birthday and it was our first time in this restaurant. Our server, Ken, was excellent, very personable and funny. The food was great and wine list impressive. Will definitely dine there again.

    We wanted to try Umbria as we had enjoyed the owner's many other establishments. We left with mixed feelings after our experience. On one hand the food was outstanding, prepared well and living up to what we had hoped for. On the other hand, the poor service from our waitress made our dining experience bordering on horrible and we couldn't wait to leave. When we arrived with a reservation we were promptly seated. After our initial server reviewed the specials, filled our water, etc. the manager apologetically asked us to move tables to accommodate a larger group (they needed to combine tables). We gladly did so but went to another section of the restaurant with a different waitress. It took her 15 minutes to come to our table, she didn't ask if we wanted anything to drink or mention specials. She took our order spending 2-3 minutes with us - that was the most time we would see her the rest of the evening. Our first course arrived about 20 min later, the waitress came by and asked if everything was ok and then we didn't see her again for 45 minutes while we were still waiting for our entree's. She seemed surprised we didn't have food and retreated toward the kitchen. She returned to say she mentioned to her manager and we should see the food in 3 minutes. It came out 10 minutes later. We ate the meals and sat after completing them for another 15 minutes before we had to ask one of the people clearing the tables for our waitress. From our vantage point at our table, we could see her talking to a bartender as she only had one other table at the time. She eventually came to us and said the manager offered a complementary dessert for having to move us earlier, but we were so frustrated by her timeliness (or lack thereof) and her obvious disregard for our dining experience we declined and paid the check and departed. The food was good, but the server experience hampered the ability to enjoy the evening.

    We were 6 people - 2 dinner orders were wrong. It took 20 minutes to get the correct item so we all didn’t dine at the same time. All the food did not come out together but in drips /one of the sides gif not reach the table until at least 5 minutes after the entree was served; food was being brought out and some diners had no silverware. It was a very disappointing night- do not recommend this place. So many better places to eat in the North End.

    The last two times I ate there my meal was disappointing. Bone in Swordfish was undercooked. Bone in veal parm was too dry to eat.

    Our meal was great, and service very nice. There was a very festive birthday party at the bar area that is likely not representative of the usual noise level. Also, we left our to-go chocolate slice on the table. No-one's fault but our own, but would have been so appreciated if one of the many servers around our table noticed and notified us (our sitter would also have been made so happy). Overall, a wonderful dining experience.

    My partner and I had a lovely date night at Umbria, and enjoyed an excellent meal! We ate upstairs on the second floor, just as I had requested, and it was more quiet and calm there than the bustling dining room downstairs. Our server Morgana was attentive and friendly, yet not intrusive, and her assistant Pablo was just as professional...overall, the service was superb. The meal itself was terrific in every aspect. A big standout was the half-tower of shellfish...an excellent selection of fresh seafood, beautifully displayed and so tasty! I had the truffled mushroom soup for my appetizer, and it was delicious...a velvety texture and smooth yet bold flavor. For dinner, we shared the 16-oz. bone-in filet mignon along with a Caesar salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the accompanying Barolo sauce was a flavorful compliment. Being on the second floor, we were able to take a peek at the gorgeous upstairs roof deck room, and we certainly intend to come back when it's open...can't wait until the weather warms up and they open the roof! I've come to expect excellence from all the de Pasquale restaurants, and we certainly were not disappointed by this visit. Thank you for a most enjoyable evening!

    Not as great as usual! It was my birthday, I wasn’t sat in the area I requested, the management didn’t follow any of my birthday requests however the waiter was very kind and attentive and brought me a birthday espresso shot and a slice of cake! Overall I will definitely return however wasn’t the experience I originally expected (Same as last time)
