   Our first visit - but not our last! In our never-ending quest for the perfect clams oreganata and linguini w/white clam sauce - Umberto's scores a solid 9.5 on a 1-10 basis. The owner/server couldn't have been more gracious and welcoming, the martinis are great, the food awesome. And don't forget to sample their escarole and white bean soup - so heavenly, we ordered an extra quart to take home.

   The food was excellent. The sauce was very tasty. The pasta was cooked properly, al dente. The service was excellent, and they were friendly. I recommend Umbertos. I'm looking forward to going to Umbertos again.

   Bad service -- no, sorry. No service. We left the restaurant 20 minutes after sitting down and not even being offered water. Ugly little place, and smoke from the bar billowed into the restaurant. Further, it was as hot as hell in there.

   He service is slow. The place is kinda shady looking and feels cold and uninviting. But the food is very good. And server is friendly.

   The food at Umberto's was good- I had the shrimp marechiara. But the staff was incredibly nice. In fact, because I had to reschedule our reservation a few times previously, they stayed open on a holiday in order to honor our reservation (I didn't know that before we went) We will definitely be back again

   My fiancé and I went to dinner there Friday night (7/22/16) for the first time. I accidentally found this place on-line and have to say I am so glad I did because the food there was AMAZING. We had (2) different antipasto appetizers which were really awesome. I had the stuffed veal chop (a little different then what I am accustomed to) but nevertheless was very good. My fiancé had some type of pasta dish with vodka sauce and let's just say there was nothing left on his plate after all the bread dunking. It's a little hole in the wall and not many tables. We got there at 7:00 pm but make sure you make reservations as we can see this place filling up quickly. One of our favorite places to go eat and will be back ~ :)

    We had a Groupon for $30.00. It's a good way to try a restaurant that we had not been to. When we arrived at 5:45 we were the only customers in the restaurant. My husband ordered oysters for an appetizer, I ordered clams oreganata. When the appetizers were served the waiter said they only had 5 oysters and he would adjust the bill for the shortage of one. The clam dish appeared to have been frozen, because it was watery, in a restaurant with CLAM in it's name I would expect better. My husband ordered veal marsala, I ordered veal parmiagiana, when the entree was served they brought two veal marsala, I explained that I had ordered the parmiagiana, they started to take my plate, but I said I would eat it. The reason is that the service was very slow, it took a long time to bring the apps, and a long time for the entrees to arrive. We each had a glass of wine, and I'm not sure if the adjustment was made for the oyster. There was a large table set for about 16 and people started to arrive around 6:00, but there were no other customers, it shouldn't have been that hard to get our order right. We will not return to this restaurant. I would also like to say that we dine out fairly frequently and I have never given a bad review before.
