   Ahi cooked properly but, not best cut still delicious. Drinks a tad slow. All in all great experience

   The setting was lovely, the waiter (Nick) was awesome and the food was phenomenal. We took Nick’s recommendations for appetizers (coconut shrimp and crab cakes). Both were excellent. Our meal was delicious. This is my new favorite restaurant on Ka’anapli beach.

   We had a table with the best sunset view. My fish (monchong) was overcooked and my husband’s filet was good but he has had better. Our waitstaff, John, was great!

   Our server, Nick, was very on point with everything explaining what are some of the best items to try. I had the scallops and my wife had the lobster ravioli. There were only five pieces of ravioli, but was more than enough for my wife. The scallops were excellent also. We ate early so it was not crowded. Very nice venue and a good secret yet. We will definitely go back. It is part of thel Merriman chain of restaurants. Expect the prices to be a little higher, if you can afford it then enjoy.

   Beautiful location, however the service was not what you would expect from a restaurant like that. Our server was new and didn't know the menu. Ordered a dirty vodka martini on the rocks and it arrived straight up then when our bill came we were charged for a double when I didn't order a double. Food was good.

   Are server was a 10/10. But the front staff was horrible. No process for people waiting, us along with another family of 5 watched people come and get sat before us. The family of 5 finally asked what was going on and were instantly seated…. After watching 3 more couples come and ask and get sitted instantly, we had to ask what was going on, and then were sitted instantly after.. we had a reservation that yes we were early for, but there was only 3 groups sitting and waiting. How that was missed when paying $100 for a breakfast for 2 is unacceptable. We don’t mind paying, but the service needs to be there start to finish at these prices.

   Beautiful restaurant and location. Food was decidedly average especially for the price point. I understand that one is paying for location here for for an over $400 check for three adults and two kids you expect a little more especially when local food trucks provide constant great food and Monkeypod does as well. We had the ahi tuna special which was overcooked and dry. My steak was fine, but for $61 you expect more than just fine. Appetizers were tasty but after a cursory mention of my birthday at the beginning, no further mention or any celebratory gesture when we ordered desert. Desert by the way way a coconut crème brûlée which was very loose and not set properly. Leoda’s coconut crème pie down the street for $11 destroys this for flavor and presentation. When we went to moneypod a week before for my mother’s birthday they went all out, made her feel very special, the food was on point and delicious. Pretty disappointed to have celebrated here for my 50th birthday. Worst meal by far in Maui - which is not to say it was bad just everywhere else is so good you expect more from a Merriman restaurant.
