   True Food is always a disappointing experience. We go because of the gluten free options and location. But the food is always a disappointment, as is the service and lack of customer service. The food always takes forever and I have never had a manager ask about our experience or apologize. There has also always been something wrong with one of our orders, and again, no manager to say anything about it. One time I sat near the kitchen and watched five people standing around, two who looked like managers of some kind. True Food has so much potential but management is definitely an issue, as is overall lack of follow through. I hope corporate helps them turn things around.

    My husband and I love True Food! The concept and execution of the food and drinks is fantastic - and all clean ingredients. We typically go to dinner or take out every weekend, but we will never sit inside the Tampa location because it feels too cafeteria-ish. The ambience is not inviting for a dinner. The lights are left so bright and could really be turned down by at least 50%, an easy fix. I wish there was a bit of visual separation or something to make the restaurant feel more cozy but that is a larger issue. I can't help but think many people feel the same way when I look around the empty restaurant on a Friday night (the bar and outside is full). This is to say that I won't stop dining from True Food but it will always be at the bar, outside or take out. And one final note to complement the bartender, Patty, last night. She is fantastic!
