   A very nice restaurant. The staff seemed a little preoccupied and distracted when I was there, but overall it was a wonderful experience.

   First, the food and presentation was outstanding and the physical environment was lovely. However, the noise level made hearing each over difficult and the service was very slow. We arrived at 6:30 and did not get salad and bread until 7:15. The entrees did not arrive until 7:45. The waiter was apologetic and removed a glass of wine from the bill. Considering the pricing of the menu I believe the service should have been faster.

   Excellent creative cooking. Sauce on asparagus was particularly delicious. Only complaint is I asked for bread to mop up the amazing sauce. 10 minutes later an undercooked mini loaf of white bread came out. It was mediocre and cost almost as much as the asparagus. Too bad but everything else was great. Just don’t bother with the bread.

   We’ve dined here a number of times, however, it’s been progressively disappointing. Grounds are ill maintained, dining interiors are dark and curtained off from exterior views. Although some tables are placed awkwardly facing kitchen /waitstaff “ runway” traffic, they are routinely seated by Hostess. What was once a fairly good value has now morphed into a mediocre meal and experience.

   Pasta night for a low price of $45.00. First course, second course and dessert were all amazingly good. I had the pasta with duck as my 2nd course and my daughter had the cavatelli with clams and crab. They both were absolutely delicious! We even had leftovers as there was plenty. Everything we had was amazing and the Walled Garden cocktail the same! Service by Ethan and Alicia was outstanding. Thank you! We will be back!

   Troutbeck never fails to deliver. Food was delicious and as always a gourmet delight. I gave it 4 stars while our waitress was very cordial and pleasant, she. did bring us the wrong meal and it took a bit for us to wave someone down to correct it..She also never came to ask whether we wanted coffee with our dessert.until she was.dropping off the check Their pasta night definitely knocks it out of the park and would recommend trying it
