About this restaurant

  • Good for groups
  • Good for special occasions
  • Lively
Trophy Room in Chicago, Illinois is a sports bar where fans can gather to watch the game, and anyone can enjoy great food. You could start off with potato skins, tater tots, Buffalo wings, crispy calamari or pretzel bites, to name just a few items. Then you might build your own pizza, or choose from one of the Trophy Room red or white pizzas. Sandwiches include the pulled pork sliders, trophy burger and Buffalo chicken wrap, among others. Trophy Room hasn't forgotten your sweet tooth, either. For dessert, try Zarlengo's gelato, overtime cookie & cream or perhaps a beer battered brownie. Come for the game, and stay for the food.

I booked this review through OpenTable months ago and then the restaurant told me that they weren't on OpenTable and wouldn't honor my reservation. Absolutely terrible.

There was only one waitress on the entire floor. She was relly nice, but it look her forever to wait on us. We also specifically went to Trophy Room because it is a sports bar to watch the Browns vs. Packers game that night and they didn't have it available to watch.

Everyone there was so friendly, and our waiter was on top of our drinks at hand. I never went without an empty cup for more than 5 minutes. A great was to truly celebrate my birthday! Trophy room was awesome, and I highly recommend it to anyone. PS... THE MOZZARELLA STICKS ARE AMAZING!

The food was good but that was about it. Service was extremely slow, took about an hour and I had to ask for water. No hostess when I walked in so I just sat down at a random seat.

I'm glad the two other restaurants couldn't hold my party because this place was the perfect fit for us. Our waitress was everything and I felt like my Vandermill was never empty because she was always there when I needed her. Will be back soon.

We needed to add 2 more people to our party during a busy night of Playoff hockey, UFC and boxing. They were very accommodating and added seats for us. Our server was busy and ran past our table quite often without asking if anyone needed anything, we had to chase her down a few times. Drink specials were great, especially for a Saturday night. Food was ok. Overall, great sports bar, average food and ok service.

Although my friend and I did not realize we were suppose to split the menu...lol it was still an abundance of food for two...most restaurants during this promo slim down the options and/or dishes but not this restaurant! everything was full size...6 big wings, a whole full size pizza (omg) and a huge brownie bigger than my hand with a huge scoop of ice cream! Yes most of it went home with me but besides the food, they let us sit in the vip section with reclining leather chairs and tv's! The barmaid was also the waitress so service was slow but it was a Sunday and the experience made it worth it!

We came at 5:15pm - almost no one in the place Seating is only in high rise bar stool kind of chairs, so uncomfortable for shorter folks like the wife who prefers her feet on the ground. Menu looked good and we tried the meatball appetizer, burger sliders, and mushroom truffle pizza. The description of the meatballs sounded great (mixture of beef, pork, and veal) but they proved lackluster - seemed perhaps frozen and then nuked - instead of being tender and juicy, they were tough and dry - sauce was tasty but it, the meatballs, and the "toasted" bread were all room temperature or cooler. The burger sliders similarly sounded great - a blend of beef, short ribs, etc. - indeed the burgers themselves had great taste, but like the meatballs seemed like they may have been frozen and then reheated in a microwave. The burgers themselves had good flavor, but were cold and the slice of cheese on each had no melt at all and actually looked like had taken it out of the fridge, took a slice, and plopped it on the cool burger. The pretzel buns were toasted but similarly cold. Can't tell if the slow server had allowed the food to sit so long everything cooled off before we got it, but the lack of melt on the cheese suggests a bigger kitchen problem. Finally the mushroom truffle pizza - existentially the pizza had all the hallmarks of a potentially excellent pie - the crust had good taste and texture, there were plenty of mushrooms and cheese, and the truffle flavor was well pronounced - BUT, the darn thing was also room temperature when we got it. We ended up taking a couple sliders and most of the pizza home - at least we could reheat it properly there and it proved to be a good lunch the next day. But this is completely unacceptable performance for a restaurant . The waitress did manage to keep my soda glass refilled, but wish she had either been faster with food delivery or the kitchen had done its job better - whichever the reason for cold food.
