Trivet derives from the age-old cooking utensil - an iron tripod placed over fire to support a cooking pot or kettle - reflecting the warmth and balance which forms Head Chef Jonny Lake and Master Sommelier Isa Bal’s values for the restaurant, as well as their working relationship.

From the very beginning of the creative process, Jonny, Isa and the team think about how food and drink work together. The menu features their explorations of ingredients, dishes and drinks from around the world, inspired by the culinary history and diversity around us. The wine list is set out chronologically, following the historic beginnings of wine to present day, with over 350 wines from classic producers to the New World, as well as acknowledging the root of viti-vinoculture with wines from Georgia, Armenia and Turkey.

As well as the welcoming main dining room, Trivet has a terrace, wine bar and private dining space. Monday nights transform into the LaBombe Wine Bar.

For events in house, Trivet offers tailored set menus for formal and casual seated dining, standing snacks and canapés, paired dinners for wine events and special in-house events such as chef collaborations and Canadian Thanksgiving! Jonny, Isa and the team can also offer off-site catering upon request.

Trivet can offer a variety of event experiences, for up to 30 guests seated in the private dining room (the 'Mustard Room'), or around 50 guests seated in the main dining space as a whole venue hire. The whole restaurant, with bar and terrace included, is a flexible and dynamic space, ready for meetings, tastings, celebrations and more.

We are now open for a very different Trivet experience, fully realising our Wine Bar potential on the most (we think unfairly) moaned-about day of the week! We would love to welcome you on Mondays from 5pm-11pm for drinks, with a special menu available to order between 5pm and 9.30pm, to help you ease into the working week (or enjoy your day off if you’re a fellow hospitality worker). The full Trivet wine list will of course be available to explore, as will our cocktails and other drink options, including some incredible wines by the glass. Online bookings can be made for parties of up to 6 guests. The food was incredible, and the service second to none. It's not cheap, naturally. But if you are prepared to splash out, the food will blow you away.

Dinner at Trivet was outstanding. From the welcoming gazpacho to the rhubarb dessert, the food was sublime. Both the venison and squab were prepared perfectly. Wine service was wonderful with a delightful recommendation for an old-world Italian red. Ambiance is also nice as we were able to talk over the table without problems hearing. Highly recommend Trivet.

Never been made for feel more welcome in a restaurant from the moment we entered until the moment we shook Jonny’s hand as we left. Food was off the charts good for all courses. Wine list was astonishing. And service was probably the best we’ve ever had. Without question, the best meal we’ve had in the UK and we hope to go again.

I love the La Bombe Mondays at Trivet. Service and food are less formal than during Trivet’s fine dining service but equally terrific. The food is creative and delicious and it is always fun to discuss the unique wines on offer with the knowledgeable servers (and with Isa). Because so many restaurants are closed on Monday evenings, La Bombe is an especially welcome option in the neighborhood. An absolute gem.

Lunch at Trivet in Bermondsey was a delightful experience. The service was impeccable, and we had the honor of speaking with Chef Jonny Lake, whose passion for culinary innovation was evident. The dishes showcased refined simplicity and bold flavors, especially the Hot tongue bun on the lunch menu. Here reflecting the restaurant’s dedication to quality ingredients and expert preparation. Trivet’s modern yet inviting ambiance provided the perfect backdrop for this memorable meal. The combination of outstanding cuisine, exceptional service, and engaging conversation made for an unforgettable dining experience. We will be back for more!
