   It’s a tiny neighborhood place with few tables. The service is good but the food (for a Mexican restaurant) was bland. Even after the hot peppers I asked for (there is a charge for that) the food still needed some seasoning.

   Authentic Mexican cuisine. Corn tortias made fresh at the restaurant. Great selection of tamales.

   My wife and I were there to celebrate my sons birthday with his friends on 03/04 (sunday). Even though we had a reservation for 7:30 PM and we arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 we were unable to secure a 6 person table till 8:40PM. Our group had to split into two and we kept hearing 5 minute more and on on & on.. It was pointless making the reservation and the restaurant should do more to give preference to people who make a reservation. Or if people come before the reservation time they should be politely told that there is a reservation for the big table for 7:30PM. The people before us (teens) although had paid their bill but had no urgency to leave and were just hanging out and the hostess was requested 6 times before he finally ( I am not too sure) showed the people just hanging there some urgency. I have been going to Nixtamal for over 7 years now but solely based on my last experience I will not go there again.

   We came here for a birthday dinner. We were seated right away and the waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The food was amazing, very fresh and tasty!

   Food was yummy. Service was fantastic. It was a freezing cold day & the staff made sure the space heaters were focused towards the patrons. Shrimp tacos were delicious!

   I've eaten at Tortilleria Nixtamal a dozen times and I've never been disappointed. There were 6 of us this past Saturday and everyone loved the service, ambiance, drinks and food. They make their own masa (the process is called "nixtamal") daily, a few blocks away. The fresh masa is used to create their remarkable Pozole and Tortilla Soups, Tamales, Tostadas, Chips and of course warm Tortillas for their delicious (many varieties) Tacos. The recipes and much of the waitstaff come directly from Mexico. Corona is a goldmine of fabulous ethnic restaurants, history and warm, welcoming residents. I travel 150 miles from Upstate NY to eat here!

    Food was amazing and came out quickly, the staff was very friendly. Love the ambience. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
