   Toogies was an excellent find for the first night of our visit. The food and drinks were top flight and the service that Aimee R provided was fantastic. She was very attentive and made sure we had a wonderful experience at her table. I had the pork chop and found it to be very tender and moist. My wife had the cod (which I tasted) and it too, was delicious. Couldn’t have picked a better spot!

   We celebrated a grandson’s 18th birthday at Toogies and had a delightful evening there, with a choice of dishes that worked for all ages in our party, a birthday cake and very pleasant atmosphere. Our waitress was Amy who provided outstanding service. She is very professional but has a warm, personal approach.

   Service was inconsistent. Condiments for the hamburger arrived 10 minutes after the hamburger was served. Second round of drinks (ordered as main course was served) showed up after the main course was done. My second old fashioned was very different than the first one- assume a different bartender with a different recipe? Brisket and meatloaf were average.

   The restaurant is beautiful and has so much potential based on the location but the food was not good. The friend chicken tasted burnt like it had been cooked in old oil and the salmon was fishy and the rice wasn’t done. Even the mashed potatoes were not good. I so wanted to love it but it just wasn’t good. Maybe if we just stuck to deviled egg appetizer and a salad!

   Aimee was our server and she was great. Very nice atmosphere, food was good and prices very reasonable. Would definitely go here again. I had the smash burger and my wife had the fried chicken.

   Great choice for quiet dinner after long day on the bourbon trail The food was fresh and delicious. Many healthy choices Our server Amy was so great helping us select our meal and cocktails and accommodating picky eaters. Really good bourbon selection and cocktails

   This was our first time at Toogies. Unfortunately, nothing seemed to go right. And let me start by saying we were the only table there for the first part of our time there and we arrived about 45min after they'd opened for the day. They were out of mint for our drink and had to run to Walmart to get more. Then, there was so much mint in it, it was almost undrinkable. We ordered the salmon dip and it came with a very small amount of crudite and we had a lot of dip left over with nothing to dip it with(maybe throw in crackers or pita?). I had the mac and cheese + brisket. The brisket was very dry and stringy, more like a crock pot beef roast. My husband ordered the bison meatloaf but was given brisket. After telling our server, they did bring back the correct dish, which he said was "just ok". We are foodies and always look for the new places to try when we travel. I am never one to ask for anything for free or for discounts when things go sideways. But, I also think it's a good idea and good customer service to at least offer something in this situation. Our server seemed a little put off at the end of the time with us and nothing was offered, they all seemed to almost hide from us. Not even a "Sorry, hope you give us another try".. We likley will not which is sad. Bardstown has limited dining options and Toogies is beautiful on the inside. Very comfortable and welcoming. But, the food and experience left us very unsatisfied.

   Toogie’s Table was a great stop on the Bourbon Trail with an entire page on the bar menu devoted to area bourbons. I loved the basil Infused gimlet in retro stemware. The warm skillet corn bread with peach bourbon butter was a scrumptious start to our dinner and ending the meal with the Caramelized bourbon cheesecake was beyond delicious. Sweet Aimee served up generous portions and southern hospitality that put our dining experience over the top.

    Had a great dinner with bourbon drinks at Toogie's Table. Our server Taylor was attentive, friendly and gave great recommendations. The space felt like you were dining in someone's home. Loved the cornbread served in a cast iron skillet, and the fried chicken and bison meatloaf were very well prepared. Highly recommended.
