   This place was awful. Had made reservations a month beforehand and they weren’t even taking our reservations even with proof of email.

   This was to be my first visit to Tom's Urban. I made the reservation 6 weeks in advance since I was going to a concert at Staples and I am not familiar with the area. I received a confirmation email the day prior to my reservation and replied that I would be there. When we arrived, the place was crazy crowded and I thought, wow, glad I have a reservation! Once we found the front desk, we were informed that the restaurant was not taking reservations and would not honor our reservation for dinner. If I had been notified ahead of time via email or Open Table, I could have made other arrangements for dinner, but Toms Urban did not communicate the change with me. I have no intention of returning to this restaurant and I let all my friends know what a disappointment it was.

   Came here before a concert on a Saturday. We were seated. Ordered are drinks and food right away. Took 30 minutes to get our drinks. Had to go to the bar myself since it took so long and order our first round. When we finally received our drinks, one was wrong so they took it back and never brought the correct one. After an hour had gone by my food still had not come...I Had to cancel the order because I couldn’t wait any longer or I would miss the concert. WORST service EVER. Will NOT go back. The waiter said he’d get the manager and never did.

   Our waiter, Christiann, was outstanding! The kitchen and bar service were very slow, though. Christiann had to check with the kitchen many times before all of our food finally arrived (not at the same time). The bar sent out several extra drinks for unknown reasons. The atmosphere was fun but the wait for food was frustrating.

   The joint was crowded and our server did her best but the food was slow coming out. Also I got charged for a drink I did not order. I ordered my first drink and then the server asked if I would like another. I said yes and shortly another drink came out. I was in the process of drinking that when they brought another drink to the table and I informed them I got my drink. The bar server said well we already made so here it is. I expected not to have to pay for their mistake but since I drank it I did

   Not that great... took 30 minutes until someone acknowledged us wish I knew her name but a server saved the night and gave us great. Service

   Everything was great until our original server left on break. We never even saw our replacement server for 30-45 minutes. Luckily, we were not in a hurry to go anywhere. She apologized when she brought us our bill.

   Our waitress was very nice but the service was patchy as they have runners for food and drinks. The drinks we ordered from the bar took awhile to come and were watery. The food was only ok, and not as described on the menu. The chicken with the pancake wasn’t xl or spicy. For the prices they charge I’d expect better.

    We left because it was at least 10 minutes and no one came to take our drink order. We overheard another server who told a table (next to me) that he’s waiting a lot of tables and apologized for the delay. This is the third time I’ve been to this restaurant and each experience was slow or very delayed. There’s so many other restaurants around LA that I don’t believe I’ll be returning to this one or recommending it either.
