I arrived five minutes early and explained that to the gentleman that I presume is the manager. He pointed over to a table and said that’s yours. I sat down and was dumbfounded when two young ladies came in and not only did he show them to their table. He asked if they would like drinks, gave them menus and took their coats. I waited ten minutes and had to catch his eye in order to ask for a drink and menus. In these troubling and uncertain times, if we are to support local restaurants, the least I would expect is to be made to feel that my custom is valued. As there are numerous other restaurants in Loughton I will not be returning to TDH again.

Large servings, but overcooked veg, small Yorkshire puds and only 1!!! Staff nice bit close to door....

Late seating us then had to ask to be seated when we could see the table clearly ready. Then lamb was not great at all. Would not rush back

I booked this for my mum and dad for their Anniversary and Valentine's dinner and they said they had a fantastic time! They said the food was incredible, they loved the ribs and gave compliments to the chef. The entertainment was amazing and the staff were very accommodating, they ended up having a laugh and dance with some friends they made over some drinks and didn't leave til the early hours of the morning. We will definitely be returning

We booked for Valentines night. Set menu plus entertainment. Not sure what was going on with the service? The maitre d’ was attentive but the three waitresses didn’t seem to know what they were doing. We arrived at the same time within 10 mins or as two other couples we were all dealt with at random times. The couple next to us and ourselves had to ask twice to order it to chase a course as the wait was too long. As it was a set menu it didn’t make sense why things were taking so long. The saving grace is the food was good - come on TD&H up your game on the service.
