   Love the Toby Carvery (Ewell) and have eaten there many times. On average its great food and value for money with great staff and a nice atmosphere. However there are times when the meat is a waffer, the staff (Youngsters) stroppy and the atmospere like a funeral Very hit and miss but still eat there

   Welcomed to our seat almost immediately. Drinks were served to us whilst we lined up in a people-free que. waitress asked if “everything was okay” a few times and payment was quick and easy.

   When we arrived nobody came for 10 minutes to see to us at reception. A chef was sitting at a table on his break , a lady was working on the bar but nobody was at the bar to serve, we were just ignored then another 3 couples appeared and we were all left wstanding waiting

   The food was spot on. It was cooked to perfection. The weather today was mild but the restaurant was still in heatwave mode with the air conditioning turned right up so was feeling coat, had to eat with my jacket on. The lady serving us seemed to be serving a lot of tables and therefore service was very slow and she looked rushed off her feet.

   We had to stand in a very long slow moving cue due to the poor manager having to do too much counter work and assist the cooks . They need more staff to get the food out more efficiently. The waitress was amazing 👍

   The food was 1st class, but not sure if it was because we had a late booking found that the food was not very hot.

   Toby Carvery at Ewell is an excellent venue. All meats are tasty and very tender. Many varied vegetables all served at lunch times. Staff always very friendly and helpful to disabled customers.

    Didn't have to wait long for carvery , food was hot and plenty of it, staff were attentive although very busy.
