TJ’s at The Old Forge is an American full-service restaurant and bar located in Bandera, Texas. Bandera is the self-proclaimed Cowboy Capital of the World and TJ’s @ The Old Forge atmosphere is modern western. The restaurant is 6,400 square feet upstairs and downstairs with a full bar on each floor and covered outside seating (2 patios on downstairs and 1 upstairs). TJ’s has an 80″ projection TV and several big screen TVs upstairs and downstairs to watch your favorite sports event. Cowgirl Coffee Shop is located upstairs and opens everyday at 6:30 am.

Our menu includes steaks, seafood, burgers, sandwiches, pastas and other delicious entrees, appetizers and desserts. TJ’s also has a full salad bar with varieties of lettuces, fresh vegetables, fruits, pastas and house-made dressings.

Brunch served every Saturday and Sunday from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm along with our regular menu.

We are a perfect venue for events such as wedding receptions, business meetings, reunions, etc.

We always stop here whenever we visit Bandera-3 X year. We have never had a bad meal or bad service. The quality is always top notch and the flavors are wonderful.

My husband and I went for my birthday. I had the Ahi Tuna and he had the Baked Garlic Parmesan Cod; we both had the Wild Rice and for a small upcharge, the Brussel Sprouts. Everything was cooked perfectly and super flavorful. The tuna is encrusted in white sesame seeds and has a Wasabi and Soy Ginger glaze that is absolutely amazing. We were also lucky enough to enjoy an apple cobbler that was a special dessert they don’t always have. We will be back soon as this place is a favorite and hasn’t disappointed us yet.

The food was great. We both had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly and the baked potato was also. Will definitely return.

Food was outstanding, as well as the services. Just wish they would have they Oysters... we scheduled the trip into town on Wednesday, just to partake of the Oysters. However, just to repeat myself, the food and service was great! We really enjoyed the evening. Steak was cooked perfectly! Salmon was super tasty, as well as the pork chop. And the stuff jalapenos appetizer worked as nice substitute for the oysters. Great job!
