   We were highly recommended to try Thirteen for my husband’s birthday dinner, and while we were excited for the experience, it didn’t quite meet our expectations. The atmosphere was a bit overwhelming — the music was extremely loud, making it difficult to hold a conversation, and the overall noise level from other guests added to the challenge. On a positive note, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly, and we had no complaints in that department. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite hit the mark. It arrived cold, and while the braised short ribs were tender, they lacked depth in flavor. Overall, it was an okay experience. I’d give it a 3 out of 5. Great service, but the ambiance and food could use some improvement.

   The food was good but quite frankly quite overpriced. The ambience was just okay. The music was way too loud to be able to have a conversation with people. We either had to scream at the top of our lungs or resort to pretending to hear each other. Either you make the restaurant a restaurant and people can have a nice conversation or you make the whole thing a club so people can know what to expect. It was just okay. Nothing spectacular at all.

   We had an excellent experience with Trevon (Mr. South Carolina). He was excellent with presentations of the restaurants menu with suggestions. His bartending skills also excellent. He was all around EXCELLENT! !! If I could give him 10 stars I would double his stars. I would recommend this restaurant to others who visit Houston.

   We had a reservation here for my bestfriends birthday, in the main dining area. We chose this place because from the photos, it looked classy and cute. When we got there we were told by the bouncer the dining area was closed. When we finally got everything figured out, we realized it was definitely more of a club environment rather than what the photos showed. Our reservation was at 11:30. We got there at 11:15, thankfully because our server said the kitchen closes at 11:30??? So we had to immediately order our food, with music blaring and hooka smoke filling the room. Our server was great though, he was apologetic and nice. Definitely wasn’t an ideal birthday experience for our friend.

   The restaurant was so good! The service and the food. We went to the lounge after dinner and that’s when it went downhill. Our server was more worried about her table that was coming in three hours after us and even took their phone call while taking our order. Questioned if we were able to make the min spending limit and very unprofessional. We ordered wings when we first sat down and they didn’t come until we were ready to leave and were still raw. Very disappointing and a different experience than the restaurant

   My boyfriend and I went here because he hasn’t visited before. I have gone several times before and raved on the food. However this visit was different. The food was just OK. I had the lobster tail and fried rice and he had the teriyaki salmon. His salmon was severely undercooked and my lobster tail was tasteless and underseasoned. My rice was also extremely cold. We also have the surf and turf egg rolls and they were just OK. This is not a place that you visit for good food but if you wantto have a vibe with good drinks and hookah while you eat, this is the place for you.

    Just go somewhere else. The food quality is like chilis. The ambience is like a club/lounge with loud music and crappy drinks. You can find much better food for that price point elsewhere. Also my husband got sick after. He had the steak and undercooked carrots.
