   As always, lovely clean, bright and welcoming place. Staff friendly and very personable. Food great, fresh and locally sourced.

   Lovely lunch today with a friend . Food was usual high standard , service excellent and as a result we enjoyed thoroughly .

   A slightly small menu but what a choice. Able.to produce.GF sandwiches, on bread that doesn't taste GF. The jacket potatoes are awesome too. It's dog friendly We found it's best to book.

   Lovely homemade soup definitely worth having a bowl. The salmon sandwich was out of this world not too strong with the whisky. Lovely choice of cakes too.

    One hour and 15 minutes is not enough time for 2 people to order food and eat meal without rushing. Presume that includes waiting time for food!). Felt we were a nuisance. First greeting we received was to inform us that table was required at a certain time!

    Dear Gill, thank you for your feedback. We're truly sorry you felt rushed during your visit. We understand that 1 hour 15 minutes felt insufficient. This time limit is usually communicated at booking, and we apologise if it caused you stress. The Maltings was exceptionally busy due to school holidays, leading to constant bookings. We did remind guests of table times to manage the flow, not to make you feel unwelcome. We regret you felt like a nuisance. We value your input and will improve communication about booking times, especially during peak periods. We hope you'll consider visiting again.
