   All was fine, wouldn’t recommend the prawns as a side on the steak however, price of £3.95 for four prawns that weren’t the size I expected, other than that, a good all round experience

   Food was bland and overpriced. Even a complaint that a starter was 'flavour free' got no reaction beyond a phatic 'oh dear'. Seemed busy though so they won't miss our custom.

   Overall, we had a nice lunch, but that was mainly due to the company. The staff were very good, service was excellent. £9 is far too much to pay for a glass of wine! I’ll make an exception if I’m viewing grazing wildebeest on the African Planes, or gazing out at the Mediterranean Sea, but we’re talking about a pub at Merley. The pizza that we ordered was very average, but my burger was delicious, however.........when we asked for condiments ( tomato sauce ) they said they had NONE in the house?! Apparently it hadn’t arrived with their stock order? Really? Fair enough, but if it had been my pub I would’ve sent one of the staff to buy some at the local Nisa 5 mins walk round the corner. If I had been told there was no tomato sauce at the point of ordering, I wouldn’t have chosen a burger! 3 coffees ordered, and they came with dessert spoons as they had no teaspoons left. They had all been used for a big party in the private room. Buy more teaspoons with the huge profit you’re making with every glass of wine? My local pub, but probably won’t go again, shame, as the staff were nice.

   Great to see a new vegan menu. Nice ambience. Staff and management very friendly. Portion control could be a little bit more generous but lovely food. Nice decor too.
