The Whitman–an all-new restaurant concept by Bal Harbour Shops, designed exclusively for the Bal Harbour Shops Access Pop-up. The Whitman name draws inspiration from The Whitman by The Sea– a luxury Miami Beach hotel owned by the Whitman family in the 1940s.

Our server Sancerre was lovely. The issue we had was was our 6pm reservation and then they closed at 7pm. We wouldn’t have booked our reservation if we knew this. Also, the personal shopper was extremely aggressive and wouldn’t stop intruding during dinner and wouldn’t give us a single moment to even enjoy shopping. We bought nothing because of her aggressiveness. 2x at dinner she came to talk to us… Wild!

They told us the bar was closing at 8 o’clock in the middle of our dinner. Wild to rush people out of a $200 meal at 8pm on a Friday night

The food was good but no better than many other places in the area. We thought it was overpriced. It was a new experience however and we are happy we tried it once.

Tyreek was awesome! Food was mostly good but Local Fish with Etoufee was very spicy so could have used more rice to balance that. Also wish they had a wider variety of alcohol available. I know it’s a traveling pop-up but they are there for 2 months so could stock up upon arrival at location. Believe that’s important based on level of dining and cost involved. Otherwise, fun and inventive.
