   Excellent service, beautiful food. We have eaten here several times now, mostly to take my elderly step mum out to dinner. She lives in Bury St Edmunds. On this occasion it was her 89th birthday. This is a lovely pub and the food is really first class, however the portion sizes are ENORMOUS and she and I and one sister in law were rather put off by the heaped plates, knowing we would, could, never eat it all. Can I suggest you offer smaller portions for smaller appetites at a slightly reduced cost? Still. We had a great meal.

   Couldn't fault this venue. Everything about it is excellent and well worth the half hour drive to it

   We took 2 friends who hadn't visited The White Horse before. Everything came up to expectations and we all had a lovely evening.

   This is a lovely pub in an idyllic position. Pretty garden and climbing frame table tennis and Swings for young children. The food is delicious and homemade. The interior very nice. Super birthday lunch.It is near Ickworth Hall so it is easy to combine a visit there with a meal.

   A varied menu with vegetarian options. Turned out Wednesday was roast day so some generous meals were enjoyed. Apparently the crackling was excellent. Loads of fresh veg served. The delicious cauliflower cheese was extra (less than £2!) and worth it. Tip, these were fresh from under the grill so very hot, best left for a while. If you have any room left the puddings are equally generous & freshly made. Ideal for sharing. Staff very friendly and made us welcome with our big dog. Nice atmosphere. Well decorated and clean. Not sure what it's like on other days but definitely a more mature clientele were out in force . Glad we booked a table ahead. The prices were very good.
