    Having driven for 1.5 hours to meet my relatives, arrived at the pub at the confirmed time to find it shut with a notice on the door saying open from 6 - 11 Tuesday to Saturday. I've used Open Table previously for many bookings but will not do so again, if it is your error. Please confirm where the fault lay. Appalling...

    DO NOT USE OPENTABLE BOOKING SYSTEM. We booked a table in White Horse Inn, Stonesfield for 10/12/16 and arranged to meet up at the pub having travelled for 1hr in different directions in order to get there. We had only made the booking the day before. The venue was CLOSED because it was undergoing renovations. It was a cold, wet day and pouring with rain and we were stuck in a tiny village with nowhere else to choose. VERY DISAPPOINTING. I cannot trust Open Table online booking system again.

    We thought the cooking generally excellent, and the service extremely friendly. The tapas were a very strong feature, and the refinement of the dishes impressive. Some thought seemed to have gone into the selection of vegan food, and of the children's menu which seemed much more imaginative than comparable offerings elsewhere. The wine list could perhaps have offered a slightly larger selection of more up-market wines, although the geographical and style spread of the list was well-judged.
