   The food we delicious. The view is great. Wish we went there sooner. Now i know where to eat in that area :)

   We've had several dinners at The Wayside and we can't recommend it highly enough. Sara, the proprietor, keeps a close watch on the dining experience. She also mixes a mean martini. The menu is creative, healthy, and absolutely delicious. We've had amazing short ribs, a divine chicken thigh-wrapped-in-bacon dish, a delicious Bolognese and fresh and surprising salads. Wayside is a hidden gem. The chef is an artist. You will love your dining experience.

   A spectacular meal! Our whole party enjoyed it, including one vegan diner and one extremely picky kid. The staff was attentive and understanding of our rambunctious children, the atmosphere was festive and fun, and the food was beyond amazing.

   Beautiful historic inn atmosphere with superb service and delicious food in an area where there aren’t too many choices. My only tiny critiques were to give some small plates out with the bruschetta for sharing and that the portions overall were pretty small. I got a salad with grilled salmon. The salad was an appetizer size. Would suggest offering half and full size portions with correlating prices. The piano music was a nice touch for a weeknight. I would definitely eat here again.

   All meals were excellent from the steak to the lamb shank and chiken cordon blue. The chocolate pecan pie was enjoyed by all.

   What a great find and we will be back. Four of us were all impressed. Food was perfectly prepared and service was exceptional. Plenty of parking as well.

   My wife and I totally enjoyed our time at The Wayside Inn. Sarah and her team were very friendly and truly took care of everything, especially additional ice! Our room was lovely filled with charming furnishings. The room was clean and we could hear the flowing river...very relaxing! The breakfast (included) was great. Sarah was the breakfast chef and made a delicious 3 egg omelet. We ate dinner one night and we were not disappointed. I had a mushroom quesadilla - a major hit for me! My wife had a salad which was very good. As expected, my wife had the cherry braised beef short ribs and she raved how good it was. I had the duck and was very happy it came out a perfect medium rare. Being able to talk with Sarah, I heard her vision of what she would like the inn to become. We can't wait to go back and see what improvements come next. Treat yourself, go to The Wayside Inn!

   The facility is rather worn, yet clean, comfortable, and homey as you settle in to the country setting. Service was very good and attentive as all special requests were honored. Our meals had good flavor, and those surrounding us looked appetizing. Portions were on the small side: very few ‘chips’ with the fish and chips for my partner, and while my salmon filet was a good size and nicely prepared, I ran out of the (side) salad it was served atop. This was a satisfying meal, although not sure we’d seek it out again when we return to the area next year.

   Although my Wayside Burger was very good, my wife's salad with grilled chicken was not. The salad part was OK but the chicken had a rubbery processed texture which made it uneatable. Our waitress was very good and the prices were reasonable but , we left dissatisfied.

    Wayside Restaurant is located on a river with beautiful views. It is a familiar run establishment. The menu varies accurate to season. Food portions are generous. Focus is on New England comfort food. Delicious options!
