About this restaurant

  • Great for fine wines
  • Neighborhood gem
  • Good for special occasions
The Wardroom is situated on a prominent corner in historic downtown Easton, Maryland, in what was formerly The Brick Hotel — considered a marvel of its time in the mid-19th century. The gastronomic, European-style shop and bistro offers handmade pastas, house-cured meats, and artisanal chocolates from top French chocolatier, La Maison du Chocolat. Both a pasta and wine bar, the Wardroom’s menu consists of authentic Italian pasta dishes, cheese and charcuterie plates customized for each guest, and seasonal salads and antipasto dishes. The basement houses an extensive wine cellar and intimate tasting room called The Locker, as well as a temperature-controlled cheese “cave,” and a kitchen where chefs produce fresh pasta each day.

They created a great, fun concept with pretty good food but they fell short in some areas that could have made it a great experience. The place is an upscale market turned fine dining. The food is very good although not the greatest bang for the buck. The wine choices are fun and varried: you choose from either glass from the many Cruvinet options or shop your bottle at the wine “store” with a decent ($25) add on for corkage. They fall short in a few areas. The worst being the cheese plate. Although they have perhaps 100 options in the counter to chose from, they only give you “chef’s” choice. We ended with 2 poor cheese selections when there were far better choices available. Also, jarred artichokes in a $38 pasta is unacceptable.

Dinner was wonderfully presented and absolutely delicious! Staff had great recommendations and the kitchen certainly follwed through. Our party of three enjoyed delightfully grilled carrots and caesar salads followed by ravioli stuffed with short ribs, lobster fettuccini and a juicy NY strip. A complementary birthday dessert and loaves of fresh baked bread topped this memorable dinner! Cannot wait to return!!!

Another Remarkable Evening at The Wardroom Every family dinner at The Wardroom is a memorable experience! We always begin with the Meat & Cheese Charcuterie, perfectly curated by their expert Cheese Monger—it’s the ideal way to kick things off. We then share a crisp Caesar salad and select the perfect bottle of Barolo, thoughtfully recommended by the talented sommelier, Anthony Austin. This past Saturday was steak night, so we ordered a NY Strip for the table—cooked to perfection. Our meal continued with their exceptional pasta dishes. Among the four of us, we enjoyed two Ricotta Cavatelli, one Fettuccine Bolognese, and an order of the Four Cheese Ravioli—each dish better than the last. A special shout-out to Rafiq and Logan for their impeccable service, which truly elevated the entire experience. Whenever we’re in Easton, dining at one (or more!) of the Prager restaurants—The Wardroom, Bas Rouge, or The Stewart—is a must. The combination of outstanding food, drinks, and service keeps us coming back every time!

Great food, Great service, and reasonable price! We got a couple of pasta dishes and some Italian appetizers that were delicious. I’m not big on fine dining but it’s a very relaxed and unpretentious setting. The self serve wine, beer, and charcuterie makes a fancy meal feel like a fun low key night out in town.

First time diners. Welcoming, attentive, and informative as needed. Best smelling hand soap ever in the ladies. Best quality dipping olive oil too! Thanks for a memorable time!

After loving our dinner there last year, we returned yesterday and had another wonderful meal. The lobster pasta was delicious and the lemon cheesecake is truly unbelievable.
