The talk will focus on Anouska’s photographic practice and her recent bodies of work ‘The Earth is our Mother’ and ‘I Speak in Flowers,’ as well as a discussion of her wider interests – magic, spirituality and working collaboratively with other women.

We're thrilled to announce the next chapter of our Inn Good Company series at The Walmer Castle, featuring the remarkable artist Florence Houston in conversation with the brilliant Olivia Paterson, Director of Lynsey Ingram Gallery and curator of our very own art collection. Join us for as Olivia delves into Florence’s vibrant artistic world - including her enchanting oil painting 'Berry Demon', which now hangs proudly in our Westbourne Room. Florence creates striking jellies using traditional Victorian moulds - an unexpected medium that speaks to her fascination with form, texture, and nostalgia. "Food is a constant source of inspiration"! The evening begins with arrival drinks from 7pm in the Lonsdale Room, followed by the talk and Q&A from 7:30 to 8:30pm. Tickets: £20, including a welcome drink

Had a great Sunday roast at the Walmer Castle! Food was wonderful and our waiter Alex was a pleasure to have serving us. Very attentive and thoughtful! Highly recommend!

The bar isn’t very varied in beer or cider choices but the food is incredible! The service was accurate and prompt, the food simply exquisite. We didn’t have time for dessert but we’ll definitely come back. Will 100% recommend.

Average burger - not asked how we wanted it cooked and it was over cooked and that sort of compressed meat like a frozen burger. Steak as only average and also over cooked

My mom and I came here not once but twice during our stay in London. Not only was the food delicious but our waiter Jorge was amazing. He was so personable, attentive, and incredibly kind, he made the our experiences at the Walmer so much better than anywhere else we had dined during our trip. We had a fantastic time and will miss this spot as we prepare to head home. This place and it’s staff are worth their weight in gold, and I hope everyone is able to experience the Walmer Castle magic at least once.

Amazing food, good service and lovely atmosphere. It was a little too hot in terms of temperature but the food was absolutely delicious ! Would recommend

We booked the Westbourne Room for a joint birthday celebration and it was great! A really lovely, cosy but fresh room with lots of space. The service was very attentive and patient with a large group. The food was lovely and we had a fantastic evening. The service we received via email in advance was also really helpful and responsive. Would definitely recommend for a celebration. My only suggestion would be to have another vegetarian option on the menu. The only main available was a gnocchi, which was fine, but not particularly interesting. Thank you!
