   The food was making and kind, knowledgeable, and attentive service. Chef Msrc McDaniel prepared an excellent meal for myself and friends. Would definitely recommend and will be back again.

   My family and I went for my birthday last night. We've been here several times and have had mixed results. Last night, we ordered Waygu steak that was cooked nicely (we like it on the more rare side), but it had too much sauce and therefore we couldn't really taste the meat. The rosti was oily, and tasted like fry. We also ordered their special truffle risotto as a third course, which had a good consistency but was overpowered by some lemon oil on top; we also couldn't taste the truffle. What we were most disappointed by was the service. We waited longer than usual in between meals, some of our drinks were mixed up, and the waiter didn't really acknowledge our dissatisfaction with some of the courses other than saying "ah, okay." Given this was a $1,200 meal for 5 people, we felt our experience did not meet expectations.

   Amazing Birthday dinner for my wife. Food was delicious and we were surprised with the additional little sweet treats we received at the end of the course. The service was also outstanding as well. Very tentative and timed the servings nicely to ensure everything was nice and fresh off the stove. Kudos on the fresh dinner rolls. My daughter and friend could not stop eating them.

   This is the first time that we have been disappointed after dining at The Village Pub. Usually service is perfect. This time, we needed to ask for bread, ask for water refills and ask for part of our order that was forgotten. Food was great as always.

    Had a perfect evening at The Village Pub for my husband’s birthday. The outdoor patio is surrounded by trees and plants and the misters were lovely on an 85* evening. The service from checking in to saying good night was perfect. They’re such a charming and well trained staff. We tipped above the included 20% because they were so wonderful. And we truly appreciated the manager coming by to say hello and check in. He made everyone there feel welcome but wasn’t at all obtrusive. He answered our questions and was super nice about my myriad - what’s in that dish? - questions. Dinner was also prrfustart to finish. Delicious, complex but accessible food. Our stand out was the corn ravioletti with morels. Simply divine. This is my favorite Bay Area restaurant. For the price and service it’s outstanding and deserves its stellar reputation.
