   This was the first time we ate at the Vernon Arms and we were not disappointed. The food was fantastic and the service was also very good!! We shall definitely be going again.

   Not a great selection for vegeatarian eaters. Rissotto was however very good.

   Very friendly service from the moment we arrived. Food was all done to perfection would defiantly go again.

   Food served was tasteless, meagre portion of roast beef, but it didn't taste of anything anyway, will not be going back anytime soon even though we had been before and had a great meal.

   Lovely meal celebrating 2 birthdays and a wedding anniversary Chips were fantastic and the salsad was very enjoyable but if you choose the triple cheesecake dessert make sure you have plenty of friends to help you eat it! Waitress was lovely and she took a lovely photo of us all on the day

   The main courses were excellent, could not fault them at all, however The Vernon really let itself down with desserts. 3 were ordered and all 3 were incorrect in some way another, sticky toffee pudding had the wrong flavour ice cream vanilla is stated on the menu but strawberry was served, Apple pie came out as apple crumble, and the Creme Brulee came with bourbon biscuits not shortbread as stated on the menu, asked for the shortbread only to be given shorties. They were more than happy to exchange the puddings for the correct ones but these simple errors are not acceptable, you could understand the biscuit if they had run out but you would like to be informed but the others were just incompetence by the kitchen staff. We were going to order hot drinks to finish but decided not to and left feeling disappointed.

   Was only offered one menu but we did notice that another table ordered food which had not been on our menu. Not sure why we not offered the choice too. Food was okay. My sons steak was a little 'chewy' for a fillet. Place was empty on a Saturday night. A little pricey, £5.50 for three small scoops of ice-cream.

   I went here to treat my husband to a Father's Day dinner with our 2 year old son. The food was delicious, choice on the menu for adults & children was excellent. We were well looked after, and finally the environment indoors and outdoors very very comfortable & relaxing. Would certainly recommend this to friends & family.

   Very good food presented beautifully. Friendly staff who provide that extra finishing touch. Very enjoyable evening. Looking forward to our next visit.

    Four of us visited for the first time on 18th April. The decor was clean & modern. The waitress was very attentive and professional and we all enjoyed our meals and intend to dine there again. It was a very pleasant experience. Thanks!
