I was there to see my daughter perform. The food was very good. Service started off well but then our server seemed to forget about us. Nice environment, although I liked the old location in Pawling better; it had a larger stage and more funk.

My wife made online reservations Saturday around 11:00 am for 2, at 6:00 and, she received a confirmation email saying so. This is my only complaint. When we got to the restaurant they did not have our reservation listed. Fortunately, for us, we were given a good table with a view of the band which is why we there there. We had a great time, food, (I had the vege burger and my wife had the fish tacos), service, ambiance, and beverage selection were great! And, we went for the music which was Russ St. George’s “Last Minute Soul Mates”, with special guest vocalist, Carla Springer. They were fantastic! I would definitely recommend the Towne Crier for a fun night out! And, if you like a variety of music from the 70’s to 2000’s, go see the “Last Minute Soul Mates”!

You just can't go wrong at the Town Crier Cafe. Food entertainment and drink of your choice not a problem.

Although we had a reservation and the restaurant was empty, the wait staff made it clear that they had another event that was taking their time. We waited 45 minutes for appetizers that had clearly been forgotten by our waiter. After we flagged him down and asked him to check, he returned with the appetizers and a few of the entrees, which had also been waiting. One meal had been totally forgotten. An underdone piece of chicken was delivered 15 minutes later. After all the waiting, the food was mediocre, and the restaurant included an automatic gratuity to the bill for a six-person table. With all the fun restaurants in Beacon, there is no reason to eat here.
