   This Resturent was recommend by someone who lives in sandwich we were visiting for a golf tournament. Welcome at the bar great followed by great service and lovely food selection and great food.

   Food and service excellent as usual. The new changing menu is brilliant and adds a great feeling of anticipation when visiting the restaurant.

   Big problems with staffing. First member of staff couldn’t take our order. 20 minute wait for a drink, no water on the table (server didn’t know what was available), then a further 20 minute wait for our first course. Main course (neither of which was served with any green vegetables) came 45 minutes after our arrival. No condiments oon the table. Apparently many new staff and although they were willing, they were not actually competent, maybe thrown in at the deep end with little training. A very disappointing 50th wedding anniversary meal.

   We did indeed have a staffing problem on the night of your visit and thank you for pointing this out to me in your informative review (both of them) As you explained repeatedly you are from a catering background, so you'll understand that when a manager falls ill we just have to carry on the best we can for our customers, better than just cancelling all bookings I have attempted several times to contact you and make fair amends but you seem to not want to discuss it..... odd, this review is so descriptive one would assume you'd want to discuss it and not just broadcast to attempt to ruin our reputation However, please rest assured, the source of all the knowledge you gained has been spoken to firmly regarding his indiscretion.    I invited a couple of friends for lunch. They were so impressed by the delicious food that, on leaving, they booked a table to take two of their family for lunch!

   I asked for a window table and got one ✔️. The team were very friendly and helpful and the menu & food Vg. They did have an issue with providing chilled sparkling wine when we arrived however this issue was resolved to our total satisfaction. Would definitely recommend

   Great food, great atmosphere, always friendly. Smoked roasted and grilled meats are all superb, Korean wings and the broccoli are fantastic.

   The bread with butter and smoked garlic outstanding! Hot chocolate fabulous! Hand cut crunchy chips to die for! Our new favourite place to eat. Be back soon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

    The Sunday roast at the Toll Bridge is excellent. The meat (beef brisket) was beautifully cooked and there’s an extremely generous portion of veg which included one of the best cauliflower cheeses I’ve ever had. It’s also great value for money. The service was ok - bit slow but they were trying their best.
