   I have been to the Thatch a few times, it’s consistently good quality food at a good price. The staff are always friendly and attentive. It’s a traditional pub with the nice restaurant separate at the back, which means you can meet at the bar first for a drink before you go in to eat, and again after your meal, your table has a 2 hour 15 minute time slot, however I have never ran over, the turn around is quite good, your food is delivered quickly but I have never felt rushed and that’s been a table for 2, 4 and 9 , I thoroughly recommend this restaurant and I will continue to revisit with family and friends

   We enjoyed the whole experience of the meal, it is such a warm and friendly place with so much history and character. The food was amazing, went on Steak night (Thursday) and the choices of different cuts of meat, sauces and sides were great. All four of us enjoyed our meals and had with different combos of sides, starters and main meals which was great. The service was fantastic again and has been on all three occasions we have previously visited. Definitely recommend to anyone.

   Very nice Christmas Dinner, so filling that after Starter and Mains I was too full to even consider dessert.

    First Christmas Lunch of the season and a lovely one it was too. The turkey dinner was everything that was expected and more. The staff were attentive on a very busy lunchtime service and couldn’t do enough for us. We both loved it ❤️ and will definitely be back.
