   Met family for an evening meal on a Friday. It was busy but the staff coped quite well, was polite and accommodating, although I felt they could have had more help. The food was very good, although portion sizes were on the small side. Would definitely recommend.

   Location is easy to get to, plenty of parking. Friendly staff and amazing food. Ambience and decor is lacking slightly but I am sure that will evolve with time.

   The food experience was extremely poor.....the burger meat tasted very odd and the meat was compacted and solid....i think it was cooked in old oil...chips were wet and soft....the fish and chips did not fare better.....we were tired and hungry after a long drive....had we known it was this bad we would have made the effort to go elsewhere....in addition the dining area wasn't particularly clean and the windows needed a very good wash.....we simply would not ever come here again.....

   We were here for an evening out whilst staying at the hotel next door . The food was fantastic really fresh and tasty my husband said the batter on the fish was amazing light and crispy and very tasty . The chips were out of this world chunky and not fatty at all . My husband had the pistachio meringue with blood orange sorbet which he said was fabulous he isn’t a pudding person but couldn’t recommend it enough . The staff were lovely really friendly helpful polite and professional . We would love to go again

   I have eaten at The Swan many times before but unfortunately not when booked on this occasion through OpenTable as your booking didn't go through !!!!

   Lovely food and cheerful waiters but the waiter didn't know how to add a tip onto the bill so I think the hotel not the staff got the tip!

   On arrival at specified time, we were inform there was no booking under the name of Ball. On showing confirmation on my phone I was informed it was not on their system and as they were fully booked they could not accommodate us. No further help was given so basically we were shown the door. This spoiled the night out as at that late hour there was nowhere else to go!!

   We had an enjoyable Sunday lunch. The portions for the large lunch were enormous! Really nice to have plenty of nice veg. We would definitely go back.

    The service was very good and the food although on the pricey side was very tasty and sufficient to fill. Unfortunately we were let down with the on line booking - which the staff appeared to know nothing about - and when our friends turned up before we did, they were told that there was no table booked for us. However, they did manage to find us a table.
