   The menu hasn’t changed in the past 5 years, except the removal of daily/weekly specials and retraction of ‘specials night’ (Pizza night, Streak night). The quality and volume of dishes has gone down, whilst the prices have risen. For a ‘local pub’ they are very much out of touch. The service was prompt (at 7pm on a Tuesday, I would hope so). However, due to the revolving door or both management and staff, the personality of a business that used to feel like the heart of Hither Green, seems to have been lost. I do hope they find their feet, and fast. Just because you are the nearest (and see your self as a monopoly) will not last for long.

   There was a mouse running around the restaurant and the staff thought it was funny when telling them, so wrong. Used to be a regular, won’t be back. Food also not as good as it used to be and prices too high for the quality of food

   It's the second time we have visited The Station Hotel for Sunday lunch. Both times, the food has been really good and the staff are pleasant. On this occasion, we had a few issues with wrong items delivered, and a massive delay to pudding which was taken off our bill as a good will gesture. I would visit again as it's family friendly and great food. Hopefully we wouldn't have the same issues again.

   I was quite disappointed with my last visit to the Station pub. It started with a poor customer service thar otherwise is unlikely in this place, and then followed with a poor quality of foodThe calamari we've ordered were way too salty and were finally replaced at the end of our meal when we were getting ready to leave. The waiter who served us had a lot of bad energy (not to say he was acting a bit rude) and showed us some attitude when pretending not to see us signalling at our table. Overall I'm not very happy with that last visit and we'll give the pub a pass in the coming weeks.

   For the first time the kichen matched the efficiency of the waiting staff. Food delivered in a respectable time fully met expectations. Very pleased for this at last to happen. Just worried what new owner impact will be.

   We enjoyed a really lovely evening meal here. Food was good and we had a really good server. We was able to have good conversion without lots of background noise. We will be visiting again soon.

    Whilst the interiors of the pub are lovely, we went for a Sunday roast on a football day. The pub was incredibly noisy with numerous football screens round the pub. Whilst there were no screens in the restaurant section the noise still carried. The restaurant also so dark we couldn't see our food properly. Veggie roast was pretty tasteless, my son's lamb roast was smothered in mint sauce which he didn't like and my husband's roast looked ke a bowl of treacle soup....it was swimming in gravy that looked like treacle. Shame as we love the pub as a pub, just won't be going back for Sunday roast.
