   Fine Irish Restaurant. A menu with a good number of choices with generous, well made cocktails!! This wasn't the first last time we will go there. Our group gets together once a month and none of us live in the neighborhood but it is worth the drive!

   I didn't think that burgers and fries would be a problem to make. But we waited for 45 minutes to get ours, and then the fries were undercooked, mushy and cold.

   Almost 3 hours to complete the meal. The kitchen obviously had a problem which is what we were told. Meals not served together. 6 of us there. 4 of us got our meal and we waited but had to start so the food would get cold. We were almost finished by the time the other meals came. My burger which I wanted done medium was well done. My brother said his draft beer was flat. I had bottled. They did comp us a round of drinks and dessert. We 6 were family so we enjoyed our company for the nearly 3 hours so it did not seem as bad as it could have been. We always liked the St James in the past but this visit wzs disappointing.

   This is truly the best fish restaurant in the triangle and made for fish lovers. Fish stew, black bass, and the red drum were all outstanding. The BBQ shrimp was also a delight along with a gem lettuce salad and fresh oysters. A wonderful wine selection is available for anyone's taste. A really nice feature is they only serve fish. Don't like fish? Don't go! The menu is not contaminated with steak or chicken. Let's hope they keep up the great kitchen work and fish selections. A true gem in Durham.

   Staff great, especially the bartenders. Fun spot at bar with sports on tv. Food a disappointment since new ownership. Traditional burgers fine but other entrees less than special.
