   The restaurant was not prepared for this event. Servers were clearly temporary, one day workers who were not well trained. Food was mediocre at best, but VERY expensive. The desserts were quite dreadful.

   We had the Thanksgiving brunch the ambience is wonderful as was our waiter Emilio. The food for a buffet was good but a-bit over priced for the selection and quality. Over all pleased though.

   This was our 3rd Mother’s Day Brunch and it’ll be our last. We could see you you reduced the amount of food selections but at the end the cost was still too expensive for what you’re offering. It was difficult communicating with our waitress due to a language barrier.

   Mother’s Day Brunch was absolutely fabulous! From check in to checkout, my daughter and I enjoyed a wonderful non rushed brunch that included an excellent selection of food! The shrimp and oyster set up was fabulous with the “mom” ice sculpture. I love oysters and was so full I could not partake! Our reservation was at 11 am. The complimentary valet parking was a nice touch, the restaurant was not over crowded, which was so nice there was plenty of space it seemed although it was full as there were many rooms very nicely decorated. I have not been to the Saint Anthony in my 17 years living in San Antonio and was pleasantly surprised and impressed with just this visit! I had no idea it is a Marriott Property. We usually frequent The Menger Brunch for special occasions, which is also located downtown San Antonio. I will say I read the reviews prior to making this reservation and “pricey” was WELL worth every cent! 20 percent tip and taxes are included in your check, which I found to be absolutely ok. I also loved the table decorations, soft pinks and white tablecloths. I felt like I was dining back in Washington DC! Additionally, the hotel did not require a credit card to “hold your reservation”, which I personally find to be tacky. I would recommend this brunch to anyone it could not have been better! Excellent!

   Would recommend this beautiful hotel brunch with one caveat: the hefty $28 service charge for which we were charged twice (for 2 diners). Food offerings were hit and miss but the beautiful setting and service were outstanding.

    The price was just simply too high for this event. $75.00 per person along with a mandatory service fee was quite unexpected. All other aspects were exceptional from service to food quality.
