   Don't live in Inverness so only in every month or two. Same super waitress as we've had before. Lovely attitude and great, unobtrusive service. Low point: arriving on a cold damp night, deliberately 20 minutes early and being pressured by the 'man behind the bar' to go straight to our table when I just wanted to have an aperitif in front of the fire. We did sit in front of the fire, but didn't feel that this was welcomed. Had it been my first visit, I doubt if I'd have gone back.

   Although this visit was not good, we have been many times before when it has been good. There was a significant lack of menu items available and they were very short staffed. The staff were very friendly and were trying their best with little resources in a busy restaurant.

   Obviously on a learning curve with new management . Table booked for seven people however when we arrived the management only had a table for four people reserved . They hastily put two tables together however one was higher than the other which resulted in the people in the “ middle “ of the tables having to move to one side in order to eat their meals and the people who had seats facing the window sitting without satisfactory light in which to eat their meals and read the menus .The burgers came without onion rings which although a minor detail is still not satisfactory and orders for ice never came resulting in myself going to the bar to obtain the same . On the plus side two of the lady waitresses who have been there for some time were once again excellent ! I relayed this to one of them .😀

   We had made reservations through open table for The Snow Goose. The hostess said she did not have our reservation - I showed her the confirmation - she said doesn't matter, I don't have them and we are full. You can sit on the other side of the dining area and you order from the bar. Since we were tourists with no other dinner plans we decided to stay and do that. We sat at a table as she said, reviewed the menu, made our selections and went to the bar to place our order. After waiting for 10 mins or so someone told her we were waiting to order and she reluctantly came over to us. She asked us what our table number was - no where on the table I saw a table number and she hadn't instructed us to gain one so she said go find your number and come back - poof she left us there gaping - so we went to the table, gathered our things and left. So because of her very poor attitude and severe lack of customer service, we had to go find another location for dinner, that was so unnecessary. I hope she was only having a bad day and took it out on us and doesn't treat all of the guests that way - visiting Scotland everyone except this woman were so kind and helpful.

   Really lovely waitress and they catered for my food allergies well. However...although what I had was safe to eat, it was entirely tasteless and really expensive for what I was given. My partner had a lovely meal though and they had a great range of drinks.

    Hi we didn’t have a good time at all the service was slow and we was all put in one area when the rest of the restaurant was empty . Also my daughter nearly broke her tooth on a stone that was in her lasagna. So we will not be returning .
