We were a group of 6. Greeted very friendly upon our early arrival and 4 of us were seated right away. After about 5 minutes our waitress came over and took our beverage order and said as soon as the bartender came in, she would bring our drinks over. The addition couple arrived and she came over and took their order too. After about 20 minutes one of the owners came over to us and asked if we had ordered beverages yet? We told him yes and he came back with our drinks almost immediately. After another 20 minutes our waitress came back, apologized for the delay and took our appetizer and entree orders. The sushi we ordered took another 15 minutes to arrive. The California roll was very good, our friends enjoyed their appetizers as well. We’ve been there an hour and so far had a beverage and an appetizer. After about 20 minutes our entrees were served. My bolognese, while very good, was almost room temperature. That’s disappointing to say the least. All in all it was a two hour experience for lunch. It seemed as though there was one waitress and an owner waiting/cleaning tables. We had to wave the waitress down to bring our check so we could pay and depart. Some of the most lethargic service we’ve ever experienced. The new decor is great and comfortable, although it does seem like a cute place for an appetizer and drinks, a little awkward to eat a meal. Will I go back? I’ll watch the reviews and see if the service improves. The food is good, it just takes forever (and in my case, showed up cold)

Super accommodating for a large birthday party occupying the corner of the bar area. Stayed on top of everyone’s individual orders. No one in our group was ever empty handed or lacked a bite to eat. Highly recommend The Slip for almost every occasion and I’m looking forward to the summers there!

Great new place. Fun atmosphere. Food and service has been inconsistent. I have been there 5 times now. Bring friends and family and it’s hard when they run out of things. Sometimes you wait for drinks over 10 mins from order. They have dishes where the chefs forget the protein on top. I really want this place to succeed but they need to tighten things up and be more consistent.

My experience at The Slip was very disappointing. We were placed in the back room and had bar stools without a seat, which was very uncomfortable. Our waitress could have made a lot of money but she was never around. My husband got up to use the restroom and our waitress was chatting at the bar. The food was ok. I had a piece of salmon with canned apples on it. I would not recommend it.

Everything was bad from the get go. Hostess told us that somebody Sat another party at our reserved table in the dining room. They sat us in the bar. It was so noisy and the foot traffic back and forth by staff was ridiculous. Took 30 minutes to get drink, another 30-40 minutes to get our app, which they took off our bill for the delay, and then the food came too soon, hadn’t had time to eat app. Ordered filet mignon MR and it came RARE! Got it back and it was the worst Filet Mignon we’ve ever had. Grissle through it, very tough to chew. Broccolini undercooked, mashed potatoes runny. Then the valet. Took so long to get our car back. Come to fine out they park the cars a half mile down the road and are understaffed for such a setup. Our poor server, Jennifer. She was clearly an experienced server, but she had to constantly apologize for the restaurants shortcomings. She should be working at a nicer place. We won’t be returning!

Kathi, We’re deeply sorry for the disappointing experience you had with us. While we’re grateful for Jennifer’s professionalism, it’s clear we didn’t provide you with the support and experience you deserved. Your feedback is invaluable, and we’re actively working to address these issues with our team. As new restaurant, we are grateful for this feedback so that we can improve. We hope you’ll give us the chance to make things right. Please reach out to us if you’d like to discuss further.

This restaurant opened in September and has a really interesting menu that breaks from most traditional restaurants. Sushi bar, small plates and traditional sandwiches. Can’t wait to go back

The brussel sprout appetizer was phenominal. The Halibut and sides were perfect. The whole experience exceeded our expectations. The bartender was a little backed up. I posted our pics on social media. The responses from friends and relatives were positive.

I have to The Slip several times and continues to be consistent in great food and service. They offer a specials menus in addition to their main fare plus sushi. Service staff is friendly and Olivia at the bar makes amazing drinks. Lively and plenty of energy. Beautifully decorated. Look forward to the warm weather and enjoying their deck. Highly recommend.
