The Shell House Restaurant is a specialty house celebrating Georgia's love of Southern-style seafood. This is a family-owned restaurant, where the Garrett family been serving its little corner of Savannah since 1988. Everything in the kitchen is made from scratch. Nothing is pre-packaged and that includes the hush puppies, red rice, coleslaw and even the cole slaw and cocktail sauces.The Shellhouse's main draw is its combination baskets. All of these baskets come with two sides like corn on the cob, sausage, cole slaw, green beans, grits, French fries or potato salad. These combination baskets can be filled with snow crab, crawfish, catfish, king crab, boiled shrimp and oysters. Shellfish House will also prepare guest's seafood any way they'd like. This means guests get their chosen seafood protein grilled, fried or in some cases from the raw bar.
