Not much purpose to the review -- we ate at Salt Cellar on their final night open. I hear that they will open again in the fall with a different theme (but the same name).

Had a wonderful meal on Saturday with my daughters. My daughter and I both had the tenderloin. The chef prepares the steak perfectly and in my opinion better than Manny's. My older daughter enjoyed the tomato pepper soup and salad combo, pretty sure she ate every bite! Ended lunch with two delicious deserts. Treat yourself to a delicious meal at Salt Cellar soon. Our server Mark did a great job.

Like the table side Cesar salad and veggies plate. Steak was way over done. Wait staff was very nice

The Salt Cellar is not inexpensive, but it is a top quality dining experience for those occasions when you don't mind paying a little more to get the best.

We have not been here before- but we will go back. The food was...so. good. In fact my husband asked to speak to the chef- and he came out and shared so much interesting information about how the food was chosen and prepared. He is passionate about what he does. It is also cool that you can watch the kitchen through a glass partition from both inside the restaurant and from outside on the street (large glass window). We had a wonderful evening. (and save room for dessert- we tried both Pavlova and Boston Cream Pie and they were fantastic)

Chef Bergo's style comes through in large and small ways across the menu, particularly in the specials menu. His take on local ingredients is unique to the Twin Cities food scene, and the fact that he comes out to talk with every table is perfect for foodies who are curious about the whys behind a dish.

The Salt Cellar food and service were very solid to outstanding. Our favorite part was when one of the chefs came to our table to explain how they made this dessert concoction involving fresh currents, mint, and a crisp yummy cookie. His description was nearly as amazing as the dessert itself, which was truly unique and as good as any dessert we've ever had--period. All that said, the prices are fairly steep.

Went on a Thursday night for dinner. Wasn't too crowded at all. We had excellent service. Food was overall good. Our waitress was great about adjusting some of our drinks to fit our preferences.

This was our first visit to the Salt Cellar. The food and service were great. We arrived early and had a drink at the bar first, which was nice. We very much enjoyed eating here and would go here again!
