   We had a beautiful meal and the staff were fantastic- the blade of beef was so tender and well presented and the kitchen accommodated my dessert request for ice cream strawberry compote and fresh cream as i wanted something quite plain. We hope to dine there again before we leave.

   Great bar Area for a drink. Very good cocktails. Staff were friendly with efficient service. Food was great too.

   Food is extremely overpriced for the Bistro type experience that this restuarant gives. Even though its a 5 start hotel the food does not live up to those standards. 36 euro for a burger] All the mains over 30 and starts about 18 If the food was amazing all well and good. But having spoke to people here many felt the same. The COD was average, it came on saffron mash but looked like scrambled eggs.

   This is my third time to eat at The Sally Gap since it has been refurbished. It's a lovely room, very spacious and always full each time I have been there. The food is excellent with a huge choice to suit all tastes. Service is very attentive. It's not cheap but it's a lovely dining experience and I highly recommend a visit.

   Our experience at the Sally Gap Restaurant was disappointing. Our wine order was forgotten, and we had to remind the waitress; by then, we had already finished our starters. We then waited over an hour for our main courses, and again had to bring it to the waitress’s attention. Although we received a brief apology when we brought it to their attention, it didn’t appear to warrant much of an apology on their side. Throughout the meal, we noticed service issues at other tables as well, which created a negative atmosphere.

    I have eaten here twice before and had an excellent meal. I don't give bad reviews and this isn't intended to be bad. My burger for €34, despite asking for it to be very well done was rare and luke warm. My husband's cod €32 was also undercooked and had to go back. The two prawn cocktails €19 each were excellent. There was apologies for both from the delightful, hard working staff and we both received great meals when they came back (the burger was the best I have had). This is not a cheap restaurant but since it was redone, it's a lovely room, with a good choice of food and I would eat here again.
