The Royal is a bar, restaurant and cafe located in the LeDroit Park. Opened in 2015, The Royal gets its name from the liquor store that inhabited the same space. Come for breakfast and have a lox bagel or the arepa egg rancheros with your coffee. For dinner, try the shrimp ceviche, pork loin sandwich or the grilled steak. The Royal offers both classic cocktails, like the Moscow Mule and Rye Old Fashioned, or signature creations like The Winston, made with Monkey Shoulder scotch, lemon, habanero and egg whites. Another popular favorite is the Arctic Sunrise, which is made with vodka, lychee, lime and cappelletti. Its modern, hip and sleek interior make this place suitable for dates.
