   Arrived at the time the table was booked for. Was told there was no booking made under my name and they had no tables available. No internet in the restaurant so had to go outside to take a screenshot of my confirmation went back in to prove I had made a reservation and the member of staff said ... oh you’ve booked it with open table and their reservations don’t come through to our systems ?! Apparently this is not the first time this happened. We were given a table ( even though they had none available??? Someone somewhere needs to get their act together

   We go quite often but this time it was very busy (Sunday lunch) and us and other guests waited well over an hour for the meals to arrive. I hope this was just a blip as we enjoy going there.

   When we arrived there was no record of our table booked ??the customer service that followed wasn’t great even though I showed them the reminder from open table ... 3/4 hour to get seated 1hr20 minutes between our starter and main course being served ... food was ok but we got there at 7:30 and didn’t finish eating until 11pm very disappointing

   Every busy to night and wait time for your food was long, Starter of mushroom in cheese sauce was lovely Second course came, we was asked if we needed anything We asked for salt and pepper after 5mins of our dinner sat in front of us and no waiter in sight we started to eat our steaks which was cooked on the rare side when we had asked for medium, the salt and pepper never arrived or did a waiter to say our steaks were a bit bloody ( our dogs enjoyed them) when we finished our meal and another wait the waitress came to clear our table and asked if we wanted pudding, I ordered one Desert and coffee Well all I can say is I think she went to Brazil for it

   Yes I would recommend the Rose and Crown but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to use Open table to book the table. The pub had no recognition of our booking and had never heard of Opentable. Thankfully they managed to accommodate ya at very short notice!

   Excellent food good atmosphere definitely will be returning soon. Our only negative was the table we sat at outside wasn’t very clean and had dirty glasses left from the people before on the whole time we ate our meal and our plates were not collected after we had eaten for a long time.

   Dined for mum’s birthday. Table booked for 8pm wasn’t ready which was fine as a couple of the party of 6 were slightly late. Very slow service, 3 courses had by all and enjoyed. Will visit again.

   Table booked for15:00hrs eventually sat down at 15:30, managed to order food about 16:00 eventually got served starters 45 minutes later, mains came eventually after several times of asking. As for deserts they seemed to take ages.. We have been several times before. Will not be returning....
