At The Rock Wood Fired Pizza, our famous pizza is only the beginning. We opened our doors in 1995 as a gritty, local pizza joint in Tacoma with gourmet pizzas, special microbrews and Rocktails, and a unique atmosphere that quickly gained recognition as a venue for everyone. After 20 years of business, we are proud to have numerous locations throughout Washington, Oregon, Colorado and Texas.

I have always enjoyed the food and ambience of The Rock and by ambience that would include Music. There was no music playing for the hour we were there. That was disappointing. Food was average.

We sat in the restaurant for 45 minutes and didn’t even get water. They were short a server. If the manager would have walked around and explained it would have been fine. I had to call the restaurant and tell them we were there. Still didn’t send anyone. Won’t be back.

The Rock was on par with good pizza. I don’t think reserving through Open Table did squat. Our reservation was at 7:30, we arrived at 7:15. There were quite a few people waiting, and we were the last to be sat at about 8:45.

Food was okay, but out of our party of five, I didn't get my dinner until 20 minutes after everyone else was served so they were nearly finished eating when mine arrived. I tried to act like it was okay because I'm nice that way, but clearly something went wrong in the kitchen. Would have been nice to comp half of my meal or offer something to make up for their mistake.

We went to Rock Wood Fire Kitchen for a family get together. We were 5 adults, a two year old and a 6 month old. The staff was attentive, fun, patient with our varied needs, the music was great and the food was delicious! I had the brew sampler and they are yummy brews! We will be back! Jessica was our main wait person and she was perfect!

Good experience and great service. Pizza was tasty. We ordered a new pizza for us which turned out to not be our favorite. However, the server tdid every thing in her power to make it better. We'll be back.

Busy Saturday evening so we were glad we made a reservation. Others had a substantial 20 minute + wait for a table. Order was not quite right and my side salad came AFTER the meal, but otherwise food was good.

This is our third time dining here and as always the food was delicious. Fish tacos, burger, and pizza were all cooked to our liking.
