   The food was of a very high quality, even though it was off the fixed menu, we dined as part of a groupon voucher stay. The Hotel was fairly busy for the time of year mainly couples, but there did not seem to be many staff the lady receptionist ended up delivering the food and clearing tables to assist staff. Overall it was a pleasant experience

   Food and staff were excellent. Could have done with more staff at busy times and the carpet could have done with a hoover at the end of the evening as there was still food on it and the seating when we went in for breakfast

   We got married here 13 years ago and the food then was amazing, went back to celebrate our anniversary and was extremely pleased to have an excellent meal. Will definitely be going back soon. Good value for money and the best meal ever. Highly recommend it!

   We had Sunday set menu . We both had parma ham wrapped asparagus with poached egg . It was beautiful , we both agreed it was one of the nicest starters we have ever had . Mains were both also very good. Staff helpful and professional . The restaurant is quite cosy with a lovely view from most windows. Our table looked onto a shed which didn't spoil anything but for the sake of ambience , I would have it moved .

   Went here for a mother’s day lunch and was very pleasantly surprised at just how lovely everything was. The decor was lovely, the food was absolutely delicious and the staff were attentive and friendly. A three course Sunday lunch with all the trimmings, good portions and great choice for around £19 a head. Wonderful. We will go back for Sunday lunch without hesitation. Thanks for a lovely day.

   The food and service were very good However the web site showed a restaurant with a much nicer ambience, as expected in an hotel, just the difference of no table cloths made it more cafe than restaurant .

   The food was absolutely stunning, Can not fault the food at all. However it would have a much better overall experience if we hadn't been forgotten about. Our starters came out pretty quickly after placing our order and they were blooming lovely but it then took a good 20 mins for our mains to come out, in which time 3 other tables had theirs brought to them and dessert was the same. We placed our dessert order and 3 other tables received theirs before we did, The waitress did say that our order had been misplaced. I could understand if the restaurant had been really busy but it really wasn't. Apart from that though it was really nice. The food was out of this world and I would highly recommend it to anyone who was thinking of booking a meal.

   I had rang hollin hall hotel and made a special request as it was my wife’s birthday (we also got married here so I thought why not make more special memories) I asked for a bottle of wine to be put on our table and a note to my wife which they did the setting was brilliant and the food was so good the staff were amazing and even came over to see how it was going while my wife used the restroom we ended up having a quiet drink in the bar after and the staff came over and spoke to us overall they helped to make another special occasion for both myself and my wife, brilliant night.

    Food Starter superb but main (steak) dull and tough. Reception The receptionist was completely incompetent but the restaurant staff were really good: knowledgeable and receptive.
