Be prepared for delicious summer dishes with organic, homegrown and wherever possible, locally sourced ingredients. Our menu is inspired by the fact our front door is literally on the riverside. The team balances its natural creativity with a superb range of cosmopolitan yet comfort food, including vegan and vegetarian dishes. No wonder it’s one of the most popular restaurants in Hampton Court. Even without the dreamy Thameside setting, this is the sort of restaurant everyone wishes they had at the end of their road: a characterful, idyllic eatery. The food was indifferent. The staff didn't know what they were doing. One doesn't chill red wine. Our half bottle of wine left over in the fridge disappeared. All in all a VERY disappointing experience!!!!!

This was one of the worst dining experiences we have had. Not only were the tables sticky, no table cloths provided but the windows appeared not to have been cleaned for generations. The amount of spiders made it impossible to enjoy the meal. The state of the hotel was deplorable, the upstairs restaurant area was in a mess. This place is in desperate need of complete refurbishment. Given the prime location of The Mitre its condition is deplorable. In its present state it should be inspected by the authorities.

Booked for evening meal. No need to as we were the only ones in the restaurant. The view overlooking the Thames was amazing. The food was simply fantastic so fresh and tasty.

Service by 20-somethings left much to be desired in terms of attentiveness, efficiency and speed. We shared the pork terrine to start and it was fine. I asked for the vegetarian plate to be modified, switching to pasta from gnocchi, which the chef did. The dish, however, lacked flavour. My companion had the spare ribs and chips. The ribs in the center were better than the ends. The chips were average. The view, however, is what you go for, which is what most reviewers agree on. So adjust your expectations.

Lovely to be able to moor the boat and then enjoy a relaxed Sunday lunch on the terrace overlooking the River Thames. The service was excellent and food good value but from a limited choice.

The place is looking very tired and could do with a face lift. Food was very average and not much other than burger, chicken burger or hot dog with chips!!!! £11 + sides +drinks. Location is nice and the service was good and quick although it was very quiet for a saturday afyernoon.

very basic menu.... very basic pub grub. we were the only table in the restaurant. used our opentable dining cheque, otherwise the meal would have been awful value. sorry.
