   Excellent celebration of our wedding anniversary. Changed from restaurant to brasserie on the evening with no problem which we really appreciated. A great meal, excellent service and a relaxed atmosphere

   One of the most amazing meals we have ever had. We received the most outstanding service from Raffael and Rosie and we cant wait to come back. Thank you so very much.

   Super evening at The Restaurant at Sopwell House. Food was fantastic and full of flavour, beef fillet was cooked perfectly and the panna cotta desert with lavender jelly and meringue was superb. Service was very attentive but we weren't rushed at all which gave us a chance to listen to the guitarist playing some lovely Spanish ballad's, making our romantic evening out a thoroughly enjoyable one. I would highly recommend fine dining at The Restaurant, Sopwell House.

   Very disappointed with the Restaurant, no real atmosphere and food really terrible. Does not cater for vegetarians. Not sure what they are trying to achieve here, needs a full review.

   The restaurant was not busy when we arrived on a Saturday evening. The room reminded me of a seaside hotelk with large windows. The tables were occupied by couples who I assume were there for an overnight stay. The food was innovative and very good. I had pork belly to start which was a very small portion, however very tasty, for main course I had the beef which was cooked to perfection. To end the meal I had salted caramel tart which was very nice. In conclusion the food was very good and worth a visit with a spa day at the Sopwell House club spa before dinner.

   Terrible dining experience. Billed as Fine Dining it is more like Zizzi’s. Food was rushed, ridiculously rushed. We had starters 5 mins after ordering, then cleared and mains 10 mins later. No service at all. No wine pouring, no table clearing. Terrible. Staff also did not listen / could not understand. Asked for a drinks menu for the bill. Worst dining experience in St Albans in years. Food was mediocre, wine list is rubbish.

   My wife and I had a lovely evening meal at sopwell house, the staff were excellent and the food and wine was very good.

    The smallest portions ever seen in a restaurant, with poor advise regarding sizes of side dishes together with a high bill. Extremely disappointing.
